There is a major shortage of support jobs when it comes to forming Master Level parties. As a result, people are left in either suboptimal parties, or are looking for members for long time periods trying to find a support job. The problem is, once BRDs, GEOs, and CORs reach max Master Level, there is no longer an incentive for them to seek parties, which leads to a shortage of useful support jobs. I am proposing a simple solution using the system already in place, Grounds of Valor. For those unfamiliar with the Grounds of Valor system, it's just an objective-based EXPing set of tasks you can complete in certain zones that give extra EXP for completion, among other bonuses.

Add Grounds of Valor Books to every zone that contains Apex Monsters


Add new Training Regimes based on Apex Monsters


Training Regime rewards should include Prowess and Exemplar Points


Exemplar Point bonuses from Training Regimes should increase each level of Prowess


Prowess bonuses for 'Apex' zones should scale higher than previous GoV zones

-Higher Attack, Accuracy, Haste, Weapon Skill damage, Magic Accuracy, Magic Damage, etc, commensurate with having an in-demand support job such as GEO, COR, BRD etc.


I think this system would help people who want to do Master Levels, but are unable to frequently find support-role party members. They will still get the same kind of buffs that a support-role job provides, albeit to a slightly lower extent. They will get increasing Prowess for each Training Regime they complete (if it levels up), and the bonus simply resets every time the player zones. New players who join parties will have to build up their own individual Prowess, so party members get more for staying longer in parties.

It's a good system that is no longer really utilized, it would really be great to see it make a comeback.

Hm, maybe the opposite. automatically active & reduces damage dealt by 0.5% every 100 apex mobs, cap at 87.5%.
Effectively RMT get apex mobs w/ DT-87.5% while normal players only get a minor hit for being out there a bit too long.

Also would force AoE parties in Crawler's Nest (S) to leave, letting someone else get a turn after probably a hour or two.
