Portafurnace

Do they work anymore? If not are there plans to put them in use anymore? I just did the quest today, assuming since it was still a valid quest that the portafurnace would work. Well if it does I dont know where. Or how.

believe u have to use them outdoors like sauramogne

some dungeon areas and sspecific other areas dont work i would have to check wiki again i am about to do that quest as well

I have tried them outside. In various places and nothing. If they do work anywhere I would like to hear about it.

I remember they at one point disabled their use "temporarily" due to a glitch people were exploiting with them that had something to do with VNMs. I think it was letting people keep the abyssite for Yilbegan, instead of it shattering upon pop, or something like that? At any rate, maybe they just never re-enabled their use? I'm not sure... I know I heard that they were horrible and completely pointless until that glitch, anyway. :P I quested it just to have the quest done, then tossed it immediately, myself.

i completed quest earlier tonight went outside equipped necklace waited for the timer and was able to use furnace in south gustaberg. I did some synergy on it to test and worked normally just like inside on regular furnaces.

Ahh I never noticed it was a necklace. I thought it was a FURNACE. lol. Now it all comes clear.

You have to equip it and then use it outside in a non-past, non-abyssea etc area, then it works just like a normal furnace in a city, my husband and i used to throw all our extra crystals in them for fewell, and etched a lot of our gear slots in the field waiting for NMs.
