character cannot log in/out

Was doing a Shael A run and died to a mimic. Had a whm/blm cast tractor on me.
Tractor was cast, but sprite did not move and the release option vanished.
I forced my client to close. My character has been logged in for 5 days now, still in the walk of echos zone for shael A.

contacted support, they sent me to report a bug.
reported a bug, get sent to contact support.
support says they cannot do anything to fix the issue.

if you don't write the report the way they like, they will just put the report under insufficient information.

Frankly in that situation I probably would have just waited out the timer rather than close the game. But if you can get on another character, you can all a GM and they should be able to force your main off. Also file another ticket and politely ask for escalation to a senior staff member, I've seen more than one person get helped with their character stuck logged in.
