View Full Version : R0 and connection issues since last update

Details: since update i have had over 20 r0 and disconnections, cant join ls events due to lag or lagging out, just twice now r0 in moghouse logging out to go to mule, there is something seriously wrong with this update on connections that need to be fixed.

Steps:
1. reset router, no difference.
2. checked files on playonline and ffxi, no errors.

Date & Time: since update 10/12/2021
Frequency: zoning or logging out, can happen every 5 mins
Platform: Windows 10
PC Manufacturer & Model Number: PC Specalist
OS: Windows 11
Graphics Card:
ISP: three broadband
Type of Internet Connection: Wired

well just an update got recommended by a friend to change connection settings in network settings within playonline from disable (recommended) to enable and havent had one disconect since i done that so if others are having this issue try that it may work for you :)

4) R0 alot and on zoning even staying still, could happen anytime
5) Operating System Version: Windows 10
6) Time frame/days that issue occurs: any time
7) Does the issue happen on a specific character or all characters? all characters

Since i have changed the config within playonline, have not crashed once so guess you can close this thread down.

4) What exactly happened when the issue started to occur? Logon
Did something change in the computer's configuration? No
5) Operating System Version: Windows 10
6) Time frame/days that issue occurs: 9:30 ATL 2021-12-16
7) Does the issue happen on a specific character or all characters? 2 Characters on Phoenix will not logon. However I can Logon to Asura with 3rd Character

Thank you for the additional information Dridian,

We apologize for the ongoing issue regarding character login. Please navigate to 'Program Files(x86)' > 'PlayOnline' > 'SQUARE ENIX' > 'FINAL FANTASY XI' > 'USER' and copy this 'USER' folder so it may be stored elsewhere as a back up. Once complete, proceed to remove sub folders out of this main folder one by one (Not the back up) so you may determine where the corrupt file might be when loading the affected character. Alternatively, we may recommend removing the folder completely and performing a file check from the PlayOnline Viewer so the client may recreate this folder. Please be advised that removing the 'USER' folder will also remove any macros that may have been created.

4) What exactly happened when the issue started to occur? Reisenjima to Omen
Did something change in the computer's configuration? No
5) Operating System Version: Windows 10
6) Time frame/days that issue occurs: 3:00pm ATL 2021-12-29
7) Does the issue happen on a specific character or all characters? 1 Character trying to enter omen but is caught in "Downloading Data" with lost connection. Been at it for 3.5 Hrs reloging and losing connection. Have not entered into omen yet.

Crises has been adverted and character is now usable.
- Did not enter omen
- I reappeared at the omen to Reisenjima Point
- Mystical Canteen must've been used
- went to Incantrix to make sure Mystical Canteen was used.
- Incantrix gave me another Mystical Canteen.
