Good morning,

I as well as many others I have talked to have been experiencing serious connectivity issues since the update. Most of my issues have occurred when logging in during the mornings.

Often times it starts lagging out before I even get online, IE in POL, or the character selection menu.

Running:
Windows 10
Intel i7-4770k
32GB Ram
GTX 1080

3) Internet Service Provider:
4) What exactly happened when the issue started to occur? Did something change in the computer's configuration? Please clarify.
5) Operating System Version:
6) Time frame/days that issue occurs:
7) Does the issue happen on a specific character or all characters?

Hello,

Happens in all regions I have visited
2) Wired or wireless connection
Wireless connection, however my internet functions fine.
3) Internet Service Provider:
Shaw
4) What exactly happened when the issue started to occur? Did something change in the computer's configuration? Please clarify.
The first November update for FFXI
5) Operating System Version:
Windows 10, Version 20H2
6) Time frame/days that issue occurs:
typically between 10-4 Est, I haven't tested before that
7) Does the issue happen on a specific character or all characters?
All characters

My apologies for the confusion on some of the details requested. Please provide the following additional information:

1) Region/Location you are in: (Not in game but your actual area of residence such as state, etc.)

2) Have you tried switching to a wired connection to see if the issue persists?

3) Do you have any firewall or anti-virus software installed? If so, which ones?

I am also experiecing issues r0 like nearly every 5 to 10 minutes, making the game unplayable.

Thank you for the additional reply gurukevy,

If you are still experiencing an issue with connection, please make sure all background applications (including anti-virus programs such as Norton, Kaspersky, Windows Defender, etc.) have been disabled and/or closed to minimize game interference before attempting to log in. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXI launcher icon once more and select “Run as Administrator.” This option can also be set permanently by Right-Clicking on the FFXI launcher icon, selecting Properties, then under the Compatibility tab, check the box that says “Run this program as an administrator” and clicking OK.
