Regarding New Character Creation on Asura World

We have confirmed that new characters cannot be created on the Asura World due to the World reaching its maximum character capacity. To address the situation, we are planning to increase character capacity limits in the version update maintenance scheduled for Monday, October 11.

Forgive me, but could you maybe not do that? Balanced server populations serve the community far better. If you raise the population limit, it's just going to get even more impossible for current Asurans to enter salvage, increase wait times for other things, make it more impossible to grind without paying someone else to do it, etc...

In fairness, I used to work as a chef/server at the banquet/restaurant/bistro (a big private business) and you can tell how I understood what SE is... Honestly, I'd like to wish them the best for their servers and still I don't think we, Asurans, ever want to tell new players to [beep] off...

Still, Matsui is the coolest producer in SE I know. :o

On top of slowing down bot creation (something I'm sure y'all have noticed), it means more players on other servers. And they deserve those players.

Also I have to ask, instead of increasing capacity, why not offer free or incentivized transfers off of Asura?

Because money. The only reason it's being fixed in the first place. The only reason asura is like it is in the first place. People don't want to spend $18 to find a different spot and then another $18 when it doesn't work and they have to go back.

While I don't speak for everyone, I won't feel the same way without Asura after Pandemonium (original) > Odin > Bahamut.

Bots are there to keep the AH stacked as much as possible for a large amount of players in need.

Better player experiences also secure money. And player experiences are better when bots aren't keeping you from doing content. You ought to know this better than anyone.

Giving up a few dollars here and there to balance server populations will make everyone happier.

And you're also being hypocritical by arguing for bots "stocking the AH" while also going on a holy crusade against them with your STF report thread.

I never said anything about how many threads you made, that wasn't part of the point at all.
You can't be making the punishment of bots your life's work and then also argue that bots are good because there's more stuff on the AH. Personally I don't want to buy stuff from bots if I can avoid it.

Maybe, this time, I am staying on Asura. I wouldn't be leaving my linkshell since I am being loved by many players. I just reminded myself by my own thread why the old content is over and there is no reason at any moment why I should move to another server.

By show your respects, I mean do not post in an attempt to annoy someone who has had an issue with Asura like Yvone's thread. The more I read more I realize but a dog and cat fighting show is very silly, don't you think? That has been going on for years and you can't stop him and not even SE can. Of course, that won't be easy for both the community and SE but they have to try.

People will often quit if they can't get on Asura. I would of quit if I could not get to Asura when I returned years ago, I wanted lots of people around.

The bot problem on Asura is simple proof that they go where the most people are. the difference in RMT bots on Asura vs the majority of t he other worlds is night and day. They don't need the same number of bots for the demand.

Balance is the best for everyone.

And no, people aren't going to quit if they can't get on Asura. There are other servers that have considerable populations. They just aren't overcrowded.


And personally, I hate the way the game handles crowds of people. The displayed character limit is too low and I hate the people constantly popping in and out of existence. It makes something that could be fun a lot less fun.
Asura is overcrowded. It hit its population limit- something that has never happened before. Just because you don't see 100 people in every single zone (which I wouldn't want) doesn't mean it isn't overcrowded. Asura has llong since reached the point where problems like botting and wait times and inaccessible content for some people are absolutely going to outweigh the sense of a crowd of people around them.

As I've told you before, you do not represent the community. There is a full range of different kinds of people with different desires and priorities. As long as Asura remains full, at least one other server, probably odin or bahamut, will be gaining users. Then there's at least a few options for the "OMG SHOW ME THE CROWDS!" people. The best experience however, would be available to all if the populations were balanced. The original world pass system was originally created to help ensure server populations stayed balanced. They changed it because it was annoying and confusing for people to be able to join up with their friends, which was a reasonable concern, but it also created the situation we have today, where people operate under the assumption that more must be better, even though that's not always true.

I once said that transferring to asura to sell/buy stuff was not a thing, that no one spends 36 dollars for that. I humbly take that stance back and apologize for those ignorant comments awhile back. I now understand it is very much a thing and why it is a thing. Even now I am forced to understand it as apparently the only source of most SU3 AH gear like baayami gear on Q seems to be from a goblin npc. Seriously, it's a disaster. I'm not even going to complain about the higher prices for HQs. I'd settle just for a supply. I blame mostly the mats and goblin NPC driving NQs to prices so low that it's difficult to focus on that gear to make money. IDK. I just want my NQ set of baayami, and a HQ set down the road in the not too distant future.
