View Full Version : [Dev 1009] New triggers being added, what about time spawn, will that still occur?

The title says it all.
The post regarding the new triggers to spawn Fafnir and the like will be a ??? point that needs an item traded to it.
However, the post does not clearly specify whether or not the current timed respawns will remain as well.
Can I get a confirmation on either them remaining possible or not? I, personally, would like to see it be able to happen both the old and new way (just not at the same time). This way, you won't NEED to do KSNMs to get the trigger item every time but it will still be faster/more efficient to do so.
Anyway, will they or won't they still have timed spawns as well as popped spawns?

[dev1009] New Trigger Conditions for Notorious Monsters
* [dev1009] New Trigger Conditions for Notorious Monsters
o Trigger conditions for following notorious monsters will be adjusted to spawn by trading specific items to the “???” in the respective area.
Fafnir / Nidhogg: Dragon’s Aery
Behemoth / King Behemoth: Behemoth’s Dominion
Adamantoise / Aspidochelone: Valley of Sorrows
- The ”???” will respawn a minute after the battle is over.
- The NM will despawn if unclaimed for 90 seconds at the spawned location.
- The feature wherein the level of these monsters will increase after battling them for a period of time will remain unchanged.
o How to obtain the trigger items:
Fafnir: Treasure from “Early Bird Catches the Wyrm”
Behemoth: Treasure from “Horns of War”
Adamantoise: Treasure from “The Hills are Alive”
* At least one of these items will be dropped in every battle.
Nidhogg: Treasure dropped by Fafnir
King Behemoth: Treasure dropped by Behemoth
Aspidochelone: Treasure dropped by Adamantoise
o The treasures dropped by the following notorious monsters will be adjusted as follows:
Fafnir : Wyrm Beard removed
Nidhogg : Drop rate of Wyrm Beard decreased
Behemoth : Behemoth Tongue removed
King Behemoth : Drop rate of Behemoth Tongue decreased
Adamantoise : Adamantoise Egg removed
Aspidochelone : Drop rate of Adamantoise Egg decreased

Reading comprehension is hard, man.

I'm leaning towards not, as the major complaint which spawned this was HNM camping being far too difficult. But, it would be an excellent compromise and a solution for those who burn their seals too quickly with no gain.

Oh, hey, look! I bolded, underlined and italicized an important part of post for no reason!
I agree, reading comprehension is hard, troll somewhere else.

How the hell is this:

Not specific enough? If you really think this is too ambiguous then you're not a very smart person. I'm not trolling, I really think someone who can't figure out what this means isn't very intelligent.

Translation errors and different meanings of words never occurs, ever. I want precise clarification and I threw in an idea, should the answer be what it most likely is. That too hard for you? Then gtfo.
Edit: SE has totally never "adjusted" anything by adding another way to do it while not removing the original way to do something.
Double Edit: SE has totally never made an announcement (on these forums no less) that gets changed at a later time due to questions just like this one to be more specific.

maybe he is wonrdering about "items" because in the other thread it sounded like it was based on one item
also i think this is the answer of your op:
The ”???” will respawn a minute after the battle is over.
regardless of the OPs reading comprehension, adding the force pop, while leaving the chance to time spawn would be an excellent idea.

Different topic, different thread, get your head out of your ass.
The idea was a supplement to the question. Specification: "Timed pops are being removed"
Stop posting, you're cluttering up the thread and wasting everyone's time all because you had some retarded notion that there's only one way to interpret things.

You'd think that they'd say "in addition to" or "alongside" or something of a similar nature.
You'd also think that "be adjusted to spawn by.." would lead most reasonable people to not read it as one of the aforementioned possibilities.

It clearly says they are changing the spawn condition to "trading specific items to a ???."
key word: CHANGING, as in, no more lotto pop.

Actually it says "Adjusting to" not "changing to."
Granted, most people get the message, but as evidenced by the OP, not everyone.

I was using a different word with the same meaning hoping he would understand. I only quoted the part I took directly from the message.

I took into consideration the word "adjusted" before posting. Adjustment =/= Change. I never said it wasn't most likely the fact of the matter. If they had said "changed to", then there wouldn't have been a thread. I will say it again: SE has "adjusted" things in the past, while keeping the original way of doing it, in tact. Adjustments just as well can mean an addition to something rather than a change. I really don't feel like explaining something as silly as the possible interpretations behind a word or past announcements of a similar nature from SE and how they were misleading/poorly translated but trolls/inflammatory jack wagons like Fiarlia give me little choice.
Square Enix has never made an incorrect translation.
Isn't that right Goetia Chausses +2 (http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Goetia_Chausses_%2B2)?
Give the OP some slack. He read it one way and wanted clarification. Stop riding around on your high horse just because you "got it right the first time". You can correct someone without being an asshole about it. I promise!

There is also the possibility that tomorrow there will be another update to the update and we'll all be wrong! I thought the wording was ambiguous as well, but I assumed the change was no timed spawns. And we all know what assumptions do...

That is a typo, not a bad translation. They are different things. Numbers do not need to be translated, silly.

They will remove the spawn versions, isn't that obvious?
Apart from the fact it says it in the announcement, apart from the fact it would remove greatly from the effort of making this new system if it was how you suggest all these NM's have 1 model and if they left it as you suggest you would be unable to pop the NM while it's being fought in a normal spawn system.
