At that point I'd rather recommend Linux. Oh wait, I'd do that at any point... ^^;

It's pretty good at pretty many things, one of them being giving new life to hardware that the other options no longer support, at all, while still being newer and they're supposed to keep on going for more than a few years at a time.

I'm basically still running my first install of Gentoo linux from 2010, although it has moved from a hard-disk/solid-state drive to another a couple of times probably, and the motherboard with the CPU and everything else included have been switched from sockets and such to another, without a complete re-install.

I have had no need for any of the other options since that 2010, but of course, depending on one's actual needs, I'm not saying that it will do the work for everyone for everything. ^^

On-topic: here's to hoping 2023 will be one with less of bots!

I have reported him/her now for a few of the false accusations he/she has placed on me.
I shall continue to monitor to see if I (we) get blatantly falsely claimed of doing illegal malicious cheating actions.

What really confuses me about what he's doing there is hes not actually keeping count of anything, he's just putting the post number (avialable already in the top right) in there. Lets say the mods actually do delete some posts. What difference does it make that post number 1033 is now post number 1031??? That isn't the number of times he's posted a report, becuase everyone else's posts are also included in that count.

Three of us were in the King Ranperre zone, in the non-Apex/Locus areas, but up near lv.20-ish goblins reside where the treasure chests pop up.
We were helping one person level up their bonecraft skills by farming bone chips and bat fangs.
All of us were /anon just so you thought we were higher level, but all of us were under lvl 75.... so NO WAY we could be farming exemplar points.
We specifically did this to make your reports false, misleading, and lies.
Did you ONCE send any three of us a /tell asking if we were farming exemplar points? No.
Did you ONCE see us in the Locus/Apex areas with 3 stars above our heads doing Apex/Locus kills? No.

Not so much "blacklisted" as flagged (and possibly charged) as making emergency calls for non-emergencies. 911 operators are legally required to take all calls seriously, but because of this you can face legal reprecussions for making a non-emergency conact because you are taking up an operator's time and that could potentially impact an actual emergency.

Which is why, when I had my phone in my off hand while trying to open the entrance door at north station in Boston and accidentally triggered an SOS (which I thought was warning me about a passing emergency vehicle, so I initially thought nothing of it), a moment later I got a call from the police to check on me where I explained it was an accidental trigger, and despite saying so they talked and made really really really sure that I wasn't just saying that (as you might if you're being abducted and the abductor catches on). Even if you accidentally make an emergency call, they must take it seriously just in case.

At the time I didn't even have any idea that there was a button combination that would trigger an "SOS" without actually making a call. my phone started making siren noises and im like wth is going on? lol

So since Square Enix won't do their job of banning spammers, and the ignore feature on this board sucks, I think I figured out a way to block this specific thread from appearing on the "New Posts" list. It uses AdBlockPlus on Firefox and the ability to block specific elements. Try this:

1) Click the icon for Ad Block Plus (little stop sign icon that says "ABP")
2) Click the gear icon to open the settings page.
3) Click the tab "Advanced" on the left hand side.
4) Scroll down to where it says "My Filter List"
5) There is a text box at the top where you can add in a custom filter. Copy and paste the following into that box: forum.square-enix.com###thread_58360
6) Click the "+ADD" button.
7) The filter will appear at the bottom, but it seems to be turned off by default. Make sure to turn it on by clicking the circle icon next to it. Make sure that circle turns blue and slides to the right.

Hope that helps. I cannot vouch for how well it will work on anything other than Firefox on a computer.

Yes i have. Specifically the one in Sea Serpent Grotto. We chatted back and forth and they know that our "dark horse" in this post is singling them out. They are dual boxing; one plays regular the other farms the sagahins. Didn't find out if or how they're running it, whether auto-run, or macros, but didn't care. And just fyi, they have NEVER seen either her character or her mules in SSG "watching" her, so that's why GM's not doing a thing about it. She complains, but is never actually IN those zones it seems when she is filing complaints.
I was in KRT many times during the same time she filed complaints about "every single player in the zone is botting exemplar points...." when it was not true. See my previous posts in this thread.

I have it on good authority this is a special case, he's been banned/suspended multiple times before, I think the only reason they don't do anything here is on the off chance he ends up doing something really insane/stupid in reaction to getting banned again on another account which might have IRL consequences.

This thread isn't appearing in the "popular threads" display for me which is good, and I've never used the new posts feature. I usually go by the icon next to each forum section lighting up to indicate that section has new posts. Obviously if the "other" forum lights up, it's usually this thread so I ignore it unless I feel like sticking my tongue out at it again every here and there.

I'm surprised if anyone uses that feature anyway because the links are so tiny and practically invisible against the somewhat similarly colored background lol

There is no point in talking to Uriah, he doesn't even really care about the issue, it's just posting this nonsense just for the sake of posting nonsense. Making lots of false reports about botters in popular EXP areas, branding *everyone* a bot even though its a virtual guarantee that at least one or more people there are not, which makes it a false statement and a false accusation. It's wishful thinking. They've been banned multiple times before, so to avoid risk of a bigger melt down they just let them have this one thread to say stupid crap in so they can ignore it. You know, I really wouldn't have a problem with this if you just threw the word "almost" in there. The reality is that literally any user can enter the zone for any reason at any time and they aren't botting, even 1 person doing anything else invalidates your report as false. Anyone and everyone who has ever been in the zone for any reason should be offended that you're blanket accusing them of botting when they're not. You should be banned not just from the forms but from the game for making these false reports.
