MALWARE THREAT when viewing thread

Whenever I click the link in this "General Discussion" thread titled:

Type whatever if ! Would be nice if,

My Malware virus threat blockers turn on and block access to rest of thread due to a malware attempt to access my computer.
This thread should be deleted and or blocked.
It did not do this at the point I posted a reply. But, somewhere after my post, someone added something into their post that attempts to attack others.

Whenever i attempt to open the thread shown, my computer's virus blocker pops up and says it has stopped an attack by a MALicious softWARE attempting to enter my computer.

Well that's good, that means your security software is doing its job and it means someone needs to have their signature deleted.

Hey, I was just guessing, since it for some reason, appears on Firefox but not on Edge. Something is a little fishy, though idk what. Btw I'm not trying to say he's doing anything intentionally.

Edit: Looks like xivsigs.net 404s and xivpads.com just has a placeholder page. I'd bet something fishy is going on with xivpads.com.

Edge might not even be reading the relevant script, I wouldn't take it to mean that it's putting you at risk.

I suspect it may be bobbinT, whose sig is some domain name website. Giving benefit of the doubt and assuming the situation was unintentional, so this isn't meant to be a name-shame.

it happens about 3~4 seconds entering the thread, both if i don't scroll down from first piece, or if i do scroll down from it into thread. Blocker pops up either way.
same thing for both threads.

It now also happens when viewing the "How is MASTERY Rank calculated?" threadI am going to go out on a guess here and say it may be a good idea to run the tools on your computer and see if you really have an infection or not just to be safe at this point.

also theres a chance if se has ads on the page its one of them.

I have no idea cuss i got an ad blocker and https everywhere running

Running an unsupported operating system that isn't getting even security updates is really not a good idea.
