What exactly did you do?
Did you actually lose the key item from the list of temporary key items when you interacted with the door at the Acolyte Hostel at around (K-5) of the Windurst Waters [S]?
(There's also a door named Acolyte hostel at (K-4) which is not the one you need.)

yes it was there clicked door and it was gone says im still on quest door and hill both do nothing now...
