The title says it all, campaign medals should be changed so they don't expire. I keep losing medals because campaign doesn't offer enough for me to do it consitantly anymore. All I do now is try to finish missions.

You know they already don't expire if you've finished enough of the missions, right? >_>

Just do the missions and it won't expire.

That would require the Abyssea-addict to stop his or her fix.

They already changed it so you can't lose medals if you've done the missions. That works plenty well enough.

The bigger problem would probably be to find help for those missions, though. While not as bad as the CoP era, the at/beyond requirements limit your potential help pool.

You can solo almost all of them.. and not even getting that far into the missions you can start saving medals..

for the non solo NAtion quests... Good luck...fining help for anything outside abyssea is like pulling teeth, you're better off seeking a static linkshell that dose outside Abyssea missions/quests :(

I was stuck on... What Price Loyalty for around 6+ months, I was not about to change to San d Oria purely to progress more in the wings of the goddess missions, then I found a linkshell that not only dose outside Abyssea stuff but where also doing the BAstok line of quests too.

Anyway its fine how it is now, if you wanna keep your medal of altana & Stuck on Cait Sith get out of Abyssea, find/get friends together & finish the quests. Bastok's final (Bonds of Mythril) is very low man-able for 3-4 level 90's & San d Oria's is soloable by Beastmasters, no idea on the Windurst one though.

Don't be scared, the world outside Abyssea is not so scary-wary.

I soloed/duoed all but the very last fight. And the last fight is duoable with the right jobs, we just didn't have them lol. <san dorian questline btw, all very retardedly easy to progress through> Last fight is probably even soloable by a decent pet job.

I had the same issue with the windurst (S) storyline

ended up soloing the entire thing.. even the last fight lol

This suggestion would be all well and good but finding help for "young behemoth" for the San d'Oria story arc isn't exactly peaches and cream. Even as 90 blue the thing took me down before I could gain enough TP for one skill chain when I tried to solo it last night after posting this. 4 hits = 0 shadows, 5th hit = 0 diamondhide, next two hits were shock stomp spam for 500+. I was dead right as I gained 90 TP.

My Linkshells and friends teased me over the years for doing the newest WoTG missions after each new update. LolWoTG, they'd say. Who's laughing now!

Seriously though, you can't expect SE to just give you mission rewards without actually completing the missions. It kinda defeats the purpose of playing the game. Also, this is an MMO and not everything was designed for the solo player. FFXI's a game meant to be played with others.

Your best bet is to find friends/LS mates that need the missions and blow through them all together. And for God's sake, work on the same nation quest line as well (that problem popped up in my LS :/). If worst comes to worst, start /shouting in Port Jeuno to form a pickup group to clear the BC.

Posting here does nothing to further your mission progress. :)

has anyone ever noticed that the in-game term "you can solo it!" is actually a term in Mooglespeak, the language that gave us "Kupo". Oh, you want the English translation? "F*** you, I'm to important to help anyone else, you should have come there when I beat it, so what if you weren't eligible to do the fight?".

Remember all the people who use this answer when you politely ask for help, write it down. When they ask for help to get their upgrade item from the Iron Giant in Ule you know the proper answer, don't you?... "You can solo it!"

Your dnc is alot better geared than your blu... why are you going in as blu? I can try to help you when I get home, provided I can enter the fight.

The behemoth is soloable.. it is easier in a duo though...

Hassle one of your friends to come along and help... I know i've done every mission multiple times.. most don't take that long.

The one in La Vaule? Would be an easy solo for BST.

I just happened to be on my blu when I started and didn't wanna spend the time regearing. It was one of those things I decided to do on a whim since I didn't log in with a clear goal in mind. Rather than sit around for 2 hours saying "I need something to do" I picked something to do. Just didn't think it would hit that hard.

Well now I know what I'm doing tonight. Regearing DNC and trying again lol.

In all fairness I didn't actually ask for help, I just decided to go do it. I hadn't finished all the prerequisites yet so I did those then decided to push the next step before I was really ready.

I wish most NMs were single monsters with no magic. I tend to always get stuck at the group of monsters casting magic parts. For some reason my DNC isn't very good at surviving tier III nukes. (And with shadows the problem is usually that there are too many monsters to keep shadows up for all spells)

Luckily about all of those are outside battles where you can get anyone to help. Sadly getting anyone to help requires you to ask them when they aren't busy doing magians or seals.

I'm on the young behemoth quest, if you play on caitsith feel free to look me up. I usually get on between 6-7pm CDT weekdays. I was hoping to static with a few LS mates that are on the same level in terms of progress, but in the Windy line and one other LS mate on the same quest, but the more the merrier.

The missions are not hard at all with the exception of the last mission which I took 4 people, I duoed all 3 nation paths and WotG missions.
