Gilgamesh not giving cutscene for Apocalypse Nigh

Went to redo Apocalypse Nigh for a new earring and Gilgamesh is not giving the final cutscene for completion.

I dropped the original earring I had selected, erased my memory. I walked through the steps and finished the Apocalypse Nigh battlefield. I talked to Aldo and got the corresponding cutscene. Waited until next JP day and went to talk to Gilgamesh and he will not give me the completed cutscene. I waited 4 days just to make sure and he still won't give it. All he does is just say I'm the ballsiest adventure blah blah blah.

sometimes there can be a web of interfering quests or other things th at can prevent you from getting a particular quest or scene from an NPC that is involved in multiple things. If only they did what FFXIV did and pop up a menu with all available quests/interactions instead of letting one quest lock out another or have to talk to the NPC multiple times to get the right interaction.
