Alter Ego: Party Chatter Issues During High-Traffic Events

1. Engage in battle with Mireu during Domain Invasion with around 100-200 or more player characters. (Any area/event with enough player characters and alter egos would probably trigger this.)
2. Summon Alter Egos and/or have them get knocked out.
3. Observe party chat messages being in trouble as described below, possibly due to some sort of an overflow or network issue.

Something perhaps related: occasionally the battle log messages may not display the target or source of an ability for example. That is, the log will simply display nothing in place of a name:

Usually the log messages are not displayed, if the target is not displayed either, but it seems like some kind of an in-between state is also possible (also notice "the Apururu's" which should not contain a 'the').

Just to clarify, the problem you're having is that you're getting chat messages from trusts who aren't in your party?

Yes, that, and sometimes they're just mixed up; Ygnas might be displayed saying something Monberaux would have said.

I wonder a little if the names not in my party were rather random, or in fact alter egos other players were using at the time.

Hm. Forgot to edit the frequency. So far I've seen this happen only once, and last time I couldn't even try to re-produce it since I was there a bit late, and couldn't even see and engage it due to the amount of other people participating (or watching).

Happened to me too today during the same battle: Yoran party chat when I'm not even in that Unity. Also, my first Luopan was called Koru-Moru, my second Ulmia, and third Ifrit.

This also reminded me of a similar issue with the battle log messages, which I've not edited in.

(Also thank you to the GM, who shall remain nameless for the time being as I did not ask permission to share their name... not that I imagine they would mind, but I digress, who only moments ago visited me in game to ask for more details about a different issue I reported!)

Seems like there's not enough room in the zone for so many NPCs. Is this a new phenomenon?

Quite interesting that even the "pet area" is affected!

It very well might be new or new'ish, but I've not had too many chances to be in such a crowded area before to say for sure.
