quest bug?

Hello,

I am a returning player to ffxi and I've been trying to do the quest, "Did You Feel That?". It says to get amnesia 5 times, however I've been amnesia more then 10 times and the NPC, Udip Ferawoh keeps saying to get hit 5 times and I am getting amnesia in the Marjami Ravine zone. Is this quest bug or am I missing something here?

As for your issue, are you being inflicted by Amnesia by a 'Spinescent Protuberance' in the area, or by something else?

Quest, Did You Feel That? tells you to get amnesia 5 times, however I have been amnesia more then 5 times and the NPC still keeps saying to do it 5 times. I have tried lower the Spinescent Protuberance to bout 20% health, sanding there with sneak/invisible up and getting amnesia but it dose nothing to change the NPC dialog.
