Can't trade Mog Pell (Silver) to Festive Moogle

Steps:
Got a Mog Pell (Silver) as login bonus but Festive Moogle refuses to accept it.
1. Talked to the moogle at San d'Oria. He mentions Gold Mog Pells.
2. Trying to trade Mog Pell (Silver). It does nothing.
3. Went to Windurst Festive Moogle. Tried talking and trading. Same issue.

EDIT: Since I am not allowed to reply to this thread, typing reply here in hopes of people seeing it.

According to Japanese FFXI wiki, you have to wait 14 days from subbing to be able to trade the rewards. My Character is only 12 days old. Hopefully in 2 days will be able to redeem it. Would of course be preferred if the Moogle would mention this like the Gobbies do.

How old is the character?

Some things in the game have this requirement that a character has to be at least 45 days (Earth time) old to be able to participate, though I don't remember, and can't find any confirmation of this being the case for the mog pells.

(And yeah, it might seem at least a little bit odd that they'd give the item if it can't be used, and that the moogles don't mention this, but it is the only thing I can think of right now.)
