I had this dumb idea strike me. Who remembers this guy from Square's collaboration with Nintendo for the cult classic, Super Mario RPG?

Well, I was thinking, what if we had bosses from 'another dimension' of void watch include some previous FF bosses, including our old friend Culex? It could be a battlefield style battle, unlocked as a bonus, giving drops for gear/costumes alluding to FF heroes past.
Feel free to add or criticize.

I think it would be cool to see a mob similar to Doom Gaze from FFVI.
For those who are not familiar, Doom Gaze was a boss that you encountered randomly while flying the airship. When encountered it would escape the battle after a few minutes and move to a new random location but would not regen (kinda like the Twinkling Treants from a few years ago). In order to defeat it you would have to find it and fight it multiple times.
They could just use an amphiptere model and have it attack the airships randomly. They could give it massive HP (like 500,000 or so) so that it would take multiple flights to lower its HP enough to kill it.
If nothing else it would give people a reason to use the airships again. ;)

You realize that Shikaree X Y and Z are FFXI's version of the Magus Sisters right?

Something I've wanted since 2003 is a goblin zeppelin to attack the airships like the pirates do the ferry.

I'd like to see Ozma, but I'm not expecting it because you know, PS2 limitations.

Sorry they're just the bosses I've sunk the most time in to over the years!
I will consider CrystalWeapon more in my future posts^^ (even if I'm not sure it's a 'proper' one lol)

Random till certain linkshells find a pattern and put it on lockdown till they exhaust its drops if it drops worthwhile loot.

I till wanna see Culex live up to his promise about being an enemy, some time again, in another game, like he promises Mario at the end of the fight.

I'm torn. Part of me thinks it would just be too much of a gimmick, and would be hard to incorporate how these mobs from other games would act properly, as well as do them justice to the original games/characters. That and I don't fancy the idea of all the over-the-top fanboys who clog the shit out of the BC's (or however it would be done). Not to mention all the WARs who only wear a Buster Sword (assuming a drop like that would be made).
However.... I'm also a big FF Fanboy. I would probably do all of the crossover fights, and love the hell out of them, regardless of the difficulty and/or drops (if any). I would probably squeal like a little girl if we got to fight Kefka - especially if Terra fights alongside us similar to Prishe during the Promathia fight (and yes, I know how ARGH most ally-NPC-AI is, but this is the fanboy side of me talking).
So, I dunno, the logical side of me says no, for many reasons beyond those I listed above. The fanboy side would absolutely LOVE it.
