AI Swap - Swaps Current control for Automaton and Master
1:00min Recast
Lasts 2 Hours
Cant use Manuevers but get dirrect control of automaton to cast spells whever and use Ranged attack etc whenever you want.
Manuever Charge - Gives Current Master all Automaton Attachments for a time
Gives maneuvres equavalint to 1 active Manuever Only
5:00min Recast
Lasts 2:00 Min
Let mw know what you guys think :D

why is AI swap duration 2hrs when it recasts in 1min; what's the downside from gaining direct maton control?
and what do you mean by giving master all maton attachments? do you mean that this JA would in a sense act as a universal maneuver?
or is the master gaining 1 maneuver's worth of the effects given by the attachments (ie. gaining some regen from auto-repair kit etc.)

Well i set it up like SCH abilities becuase say you zone or something you would need the 1 min recast to use it every min incase you zone or die on your maton. also Manuever charge would work like if you had your maton with a coiler and a turbo charge you would get haste and double attack for 2min on your character as if 1 manuever was active for your maton so you would recieve 10% haste and 10% double attack and if you had tension springs you would get attack boost etc for the duration

this one at least doesn't take up inventory space, but yea recast and duration should be adjusted. Honestly SE wouldn't do this anyway just because it would be "due to some sort of limitation" and it wouldn't really make me feel any more like a puppetmaster using this JA.

If you mean something along the lines of direct control of the auto and the master behaves like the auto, that would be kinda cool and funny at the same time.
However, neither of these ideas are practical. I'll start with the 2nd ability first.
From a mechanics side, it would probably be a little too good if we got some of the stuff the auto gets (they get really op attachments to make them not suck). From a in-game perspective, how would you plug in these parts to the master?
As for control of the auto, SE will NEVER give pup this option. The point of pup is that we don't have as much control over our pet as the other pet jobs (I don't count drg as a pet job, it still functions w/o its pet at about 95% capacity). We can only suggest to the AI what to do with our maneuvers, which gives us a level of control, but still don't give us full control.

yeahhhh... say that while you're fighting a hard NM as drg/mage and your wyvern bites the dust. ;)

be technical all you want you know he meant it in more of a your pet does bad damage and is more or less totally NPC while we atleast send some sort of command
lets ee a drg even make only his pet attack something with out engaging.. or lets see a wyvern deal actual damage

I like the JA of switching complete control of the automaton, but here's some ideas to make it realistic.
-The master doesn't join the fight, remains disengaged and follows the automaton. (Reason is master is focusing all control on automaton.)
-Abilities would be limited to spells the head knows, attack, and shield bash or ranged attack, depending on frame used.
-Recast time would hafta be 10 mins or more. 1 min would make it a fail safe combo'd with Deus-Ex Automata and Repair.
-Ability lasts until manually cancelled or automaton dies, in which control obviously switches immediately back to master.
-Master still recieves initial enmity from aggressors, and master's death would cancel this effect immediately, as the pet would deactivate automatically anyways.
-Maneuvers wouldn't be usable, nor activated attachments from them. Only the automatic effects would work.
-Automaton weaponskills wouldn't be usable.
Those sound like the ability would become pointless, but if you're able to fight monsters and die but continue fighting, that'd be a nice option, especially if you can reactivate your automaton right away.

If we got complete control over our auto I would never have to level and/or gear another job ever, since I could be a RNG, BLM, WAR(melee frame has never taken a hit as well as a pld), WHM, AND RDM all without having to go to town and swap gear. The job would be super broken.

I don't like the idea of losing control of my character, it can make you really vulnerable. It sounds fun in theory, but I don't know how well this would end up working in practice. The automaton would definitely need a leash e.g. not be able to be seperated from the master by more than so far to avoid potential accidents.
