Can't log in to one of my characters

I was running to Qulun Dome from the M-8 zone on Beaudeaux map 2. I had 5 trusts out. When I zoned, it faded to black and "Downloading Data" popped up. It stayed like that for a minute, and then I get the FFXI-3001 timed out error. When I hit ok it takes me back to the main log in screen.

I tried restarting PlayOnline, my router and my computer. I still got the same timed out error when logging in. I'm locked out of this character. If I try to log back in right away I get the "character is already logged in" error. I can log into my other two characters fine.

I'm on the quest Whence Blows the Wind. I was there to collect the Quadav Quest. I had just gotten the Orcish Quest. I completed the Magicite mission and am rank 5.

Try using an alternative connection such as tethering or hot spot a phone network.

If not that, it could be a corrupted file and you may need to uninstall and reinstall FFXI again (remember to save your macros to server).

Sometimes the games 'File check' doesn't pick up corrupted files.
