I know this might sound redundant, but these seals take up a lot of room!
I hate to drop them when I think that I may level up the job at a later time.

Could we have a NPC take up the task of storing seals, perhaps in exchange of cruor?
:-)

I have over 20 item slots right now stuffed with seals, at least 6 of which I'm collecting to upgrade my three lvl90 jobs af3 to af3+1...

Perhaps another solution to the dilemma would be exchanging seals that you don't need for ones you do need.. like a ratio of two for one or three for one?
Trade three body seals and select which body seal you would like to aquire!
Sounds fair to me, in all honesty ;)

I'm definitely on board with this.

Either a two-for-one exchange type of thing (which would also answer the problem that the dev. team is working on with assigning random seals more appropriately, or a storage option (no reason why it shouldn't exist) would be very appreciated.

The problem with exchange is that people would just farm the easiest seal NMs. This would create massive overcamping as people would rush to do the easy NMs and the more difficult ones (or ones that need several pop items) would never be done anymore.

On the subject of storage. I have to agree that the amount of seals that can start to pile up is a little absurd altogether you are looking at 100 different stacks of seals and that is not even including stacks of +2 items.

IMO they should make a Magian Storage Moogle that can store any item used for magian trials in exactly the same way as porter moogles do for armor. Make separate slips for each slot and an additional slip for weapon upgrade items.

or...

Make it to where you can trade seals to the delivery box at any time and it saves your progress whether you are on the trial or not. So ... I can turn in 8 ravager seal feet. Then a week later I can bring the boots to the moogle and get it inscribed with the trial. Then you just trade the boots to the delivery box and it allocates the seals that you previously deposited.

Seals are ridiculously easy to get. Even if I personally do have a bunch of seals laying about it's only because I've been too lazy to sit my ass down and finish off the things I have left. It probably takes more time to walk to Jueno than it does to duo a NM with your friend to finish off those +1 you're having trouble with.

lets see why i do not have room

45 slots for seals
30 for sobek skins

yeah..... can something be changed here?

I think maybe a 4 to 1 or 5 to 1 ratio would be the most acceptable. And they would need to be of the same armor slot (ex. hands seals into a hand seal).

If this was the case, I would be more willing to help shout groups who need a BLM or WHM yet have no seals to offer that I want. I could take the unwanted seals and later trade them in for a few seals that I do want.

That's what I meant entirely. :)
Most of those mobs drop various seals 2-4 jobs or whatever, so I don't think they would suddenly be overcamped, especially given all feet seals dropping mobs are in about the same difficulty ranking, and all hand seals mobs, etc.

And for those completely random rewards you get in abyssea- yah, this would make the ones you groan over into ones you can say.. "Well, a few more bad drops like this and I'll be a seal closer!"

Didn't know Sobek skins didn't stack. Just realized Briareus helms don't either. Looks like I will be sending those both to mule.

Unless you're doing the entire NM portion in one session (I did this for Chloris, so I can definitely sympathize after having to clear 50 slots for buds), why not just turn your skins/helms into the moogle's chest whenever you go back to Jeuno? You don't need to carry them all around unless you're either doing Sobek before Briareus is finished, or doing Briareus before NM/VNMs are finished.

I have 30 skins on me because i cannot do that as far as i know.

I tried trading them and i was told by the moogle

" can't let you do that starfox"

but then I try to tell him my name is not starfox and it stopped talking to me

You don't trade them to the moogle, you trade them to the box, just like every other seal/weapon item. >.>

It only works for the trial you're on though, i.e. if you're on Briareus you can't turn in Sobek skins. But that's why I'm not doing Sobek yet; rather, I'm turning in my helms at 1-4 at a time since I solo them. xD Saves inventory space though, which is sorely strained!

@Kensagaku
Judging from your signature, I'd guess you were holding onto seals for eight different jobs at one point? Head, hands, legs, feet... for all those jobs! I bet it was frustrating when you got seals that weren't for those jobs, and the inventory- space for all that probably really irked you.
Am I right?

Thanks for giving people suggestions on what to do with trial items that they're working on-
but then, you need to consider the ones people might start saving for, knowing that they're only a couple seals away from a +1, and start collecting those +2 items... yeah, their poor inventory :(

Actually you're wrong. I generally don't hold onto many seals, and those that I do go straight to my storage or mog sack depending (I put my +1s in storage and my +2s in my sack... don't ask why, I'm not sure either) for the day or two it takes me to complete that set. I hate leaving things undone, and most of my jobs I got my seals after I leveled... honestly I've never had storage issues personally. If there's a +1 item I think I might want in the future, but haven't decided to level? I'll generally toss it, Abyssea's not all that hard.

However, to stay on topic with the thread, I didn't say that this concept of storage would be a bad idea. On the contrary, I like the idea. I don't personally need it, but I've never had to hold onto seals very often. I'm usually able to slap together a passable or better group to get things done in a reasonable amount of time. Others may not, however, and this system could certainly have some utility to it. Maybe they'll implement it, and I certainly wouldn't complain. But at the same time people need to learn not to bite off more than they can chew--or in this case, hold.

@Rambus - My apologies. :P I mistook the joke. But I know your pain, I have 8 Sobek skins myself that are taking up valuable Mog Sack space too because I haven't finished Briareus and my shell pretty much dumped them on me. ^^;

IIRC, seals will be deliverable to characters on the same account in the delivery system update (at least, they were conspicuously absent from the list of things you still won't be able to deliver that way).

Furniture storage is also an option -- most of the stuff I used to have in furniture storage is in porter moogles now.

Or you could just pass and let the seals be someone else's problem, if you have no intention of leveling that job.

making seals storable was confirmed in the early twitter feed (prior to forum), it was stated flat out that they would be. I have noticed that it is not even discussed in the timetable and the moderators on this forum have been completely mute on the subject, so I think the developers have possibly changed their mind and simply don't wish to acknowledge it.

Its a very juvenile response that most outgrow by about age 6 to pretend something you did never happened, but perchance those in charge of communicating secretly hope for careers in politics or the media where such juvenile behavior is a virtue, not a character flaw.
