Be on the patio and click layout? The same way you would with any other item. It needs to be in the mogsafe first.

If you mean to place it on patio, i.e. second floor of moghouse, it needs to be in MogSafe2 before you try to use Layout, and YOU need to be up in second floor to do that, too.
MogSafe(1) is only for original moghouse (lower floor)
