This should help you and welcome back.

You can level to 90 very quickly via the new Abyssea scenarios.

Economy is not good and there are almost no high level crafters anymore.

Many grips have been introduced.

Prior to Abyssea, 3 new add on scenarios, A Chrystaline Prophecy, A Moogle Kupo D'Etat and A Shantotto Ascension were added with unique rewards.

Level caps for Chains of Promathia have been removed, so it's now possible to solo at least through the Tenzen fight.

If you need a social LS, look me up in game. I stress we are a social LS, neither endgame or Abyssea focused. The LS focus is on completing Missions/Quests/Assault/CoP/ToAU/ZM/BCNM/KSNM/Avatar runs/LS levelling parties in a friendly and helpful atmosphere. Events are announced in LS chat and by lsmes. We will be doing some Sky farming/god killing even though it's now considered obsolete. Our members participate in Endgame and Abyssea either with other shells dedicated to those activities, or with LS people depending on need and availability. Our LS maintains 10-12 sometimes more full-time members, common sense rules apply. Mostly, be respectful to all including non LS members. We are self-governing and mature enough to deal with most issues that might arise in an appropriate manner. There is no requirement to stay in the shell at all times. Really the only things that are frowned upon are extreme foul language and use of the shell and its members to get help and make progress on the above named events without giving back then leaving. We are looking for people who like to enjoy FFXI as it was meant to be, who are willing to be participatory and have fun with a good group of people. We are small, but mighty!

In any event, get out there and have fun!
