mission line not being counted for ROE quest

I have the Rites of eminence quest: rhapsody's in vanadiel 3-12 flagged. I completed the entire mission line and watched the credits, but the ROE quest did not clear

I entered the main menu and was flagging quests to complete rites of eminence quests to get the cp bonus. I noticed it wasn't completing even though on my missions tab its completed.

Isn't there an item that drops from completing the mission line? Also the final mission is 3-35, not 3-12. If your inventory was full when you finished the cutscene for the item, you needed to make space for the item to drop into inventory (Cipher: Iroha II). If you now have inventory, select that mission, hit [enter] to read it, and completion will commence. Or use the Glowing ??? thing near the crystal to continue and complete it once you have/had inventory room. That might be it; happened to me once too on my alt character and confused me too.
