Do away with needing certain weather conditions to be met when doing a trial and double or even triple the amount of mobs needed to be killed for each trial, i dont mind putting in the time or work but with my work schedule and an iphone app to track weather days i rarely find the weather i need for my trial.

Or add a NPC in jeuno that will tell you where specific weather is (or will be) happening.
Pull down menu with all weather types> click weather of choice> dialogue: Hello Adventurer, Fire weather is currently happening in Western Altepa Desert and Ifrit's Cauldron till 22h00, after that time it should start up in Abyssea-Altepa, have a nice day.

Weather NPCs give you weather predictions for the current days and the two days following.

I wouldn't change it quite the way the OP suggested as using weather is still a great option for those who can (given that killing during weather gives 5 credits per kill). If you wanted an option to get credit without weather or day of week, you could do it by scaling up the existing requirements & credits and adding a new tier underneath that doesn't require the element. For example, if you need 100 credits, increase that to 300. Give 15 credits for weather, 3 for day (18 for both in effect) and 1 for neither.

A lot of the trials are about tuning the weapon to a particular element, effects related to it. The weather patterns are the foundation of the fine-tuning. There's a logic to it I think deserves to remain in place, however much easier they make it getting those kills.

Obviously I was not clear enough in my original post, yes i`m aware they do but I was suggesting that one (1) npc give that information for the entire world. Having to run down several npcs to figure out the best place to go is a huge waste of time. If i want fire weather then bingo here are ALL the zones where its (or will) occur.

What, like this?

As I said, its not needed. You should have an idea of what zone youd need anyway. Then theres magian specs and weather NPCs to give you an outlook. I dont know how taking 5 or 10 minutes to go check the weather is a huge waste of time.
