Ok I am running windows 10 and it is erroring out saying needs the direct play, and windows say direct play is not available anymore? Did I just spend 20 bucks to restart playing a game that doesn't work anymore?

Hello xxstrahdxx,
Thank you for posting here in the Final Fantasy XI Technical Support Forums! You will need to enable direct play on your computer. Please follow the steps below to do so.
1. Press [windows key]+[x] then press [p] to open the control panel.
2. find/ open "Programs and Features" then press the "Turn windows features on or off"
3. Put a check in the direct play... look in the L's for legacy, then restart your system.
