Let's get this out of the way first. It's tough to look at the teaser pic of a huge four-armed swordsman in red armor, known as a 'voidwalker', and not think of Gilgamesh. So if this is indeed a version of Gilgamesh, and he drops treasure, it'd be appropriate for some of that treasure to be a version of Genji armor, right? (I realize Vana'diel's Gilgamesh lives in Norg, and the Genji armor is part of the Feast of Swords lore.) Or, if not the Genji gear, perhaps some of his prized replica weapons. How cool would it be to wield a Buster Sword, Brotherhood, Mage Masher, or Ultima Weapon? Gilgamesh could make it happen.
Taking the 'void as an opportunity for cameos' idea a bit further, how about other famous bosses from previous Final Fantasy titles? Just off the top of my head, there could be a whole set of Elemental Fiend bosses from FF1. All the enemy models are there; Lich is a corse, Marilith is Medusa, Kraken is a kraken (I know, boring) and Tiamat is a hydra. How about the set from FF4? Scarmiglione is a qutrub, Cagnazzo is an adamantoise, Barbariccia could be one of those new harpies, and Rubicante is ... maybe a vampyr? How about a purple kraken for Ultros/Orthros? A coal-black chariot surrounded by ghosts for the Phantom Train?
Of course these suggestions are all assuming the figure in the teaser pic really is Gilgamesh. Still, regardless of whether it is or not, it'd still be fun and exciting to fight some classic foes again in Vana'diel, don't you agree? What are you all hoping to see in Voidwatch?
