Suggestion: Let us cancel lvl 99 sync status effect

I've brought a friend into FFXI for the first time, and we've been enjoying playing the stories at around the level they were intended for. We recently got to Diablos in CoP, and the game did not let us level sync down from 70 to 40. It seems the level 99 sync status effect is preventing this.

I know this (lvl 99) status effect is there to wipe all buffs on entering, but could FFXI allow it to be cancelled after the BCNM is entered?

I agree with this. Please find some way to let us do these fights as intended.

In addition, it would be nice if there was a manual level sync option (IE: choose your own level to be capped at) to be used wherever, so people could do legacy events and whatnot at the intended levels.
