Details:
This has gone on for a long time, I have a home built PC, Windows 7, windows updates up to date, GTX 970 updated, etc...

FFXI installed to C drive

This seems to happen very consistently after a couple hours of running,it doesn't seem to matter what I'm doing in game, and I will normally intentionally restart my computer before I get into anything intensive which will seem to reset the crash timer so that I don't drop out mid-action.

When I start playing, the memory usage sits around 270,000 K, shortly before it crashes memory use is around 350,000, and once it does crash before I close it memory use is at 590,000 K. (Memory Leak???)

I can literally be sitting idle in game doing nothing and it will crash, completely seems like it's based on run time not anything specific to the game.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, reinstalled windows, etc...

Checked your system temps?
Anything else running in the background?

You might want to check this link: Microsoft Answers site (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/programs-crash-error-fault-module-kernelbasedll/9fe5d2e7-79d0-42c1-b8dc-51ed8d70f749)
It has a simple walkthru on how to possibly fix the problem. Sounds like part of the User Profile can get corrupted, which can cause programs to crash apparently.

sometimes the firewall over checks ff11 and cause it to use too much data,
control panel -> firewall -> exceptions, then "add program" then browse

-C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\playonline, at this point you you select POL.exe

after that you "add program" again and browse again C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI then click Polboot.exe

after that you add program again and browse again C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\ToolsUS or C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\ToolsEU
Its either US or EU depending on which version you've installed. you then click "Final fantasy XI config.exe"

I done this years ago and haven't faced the problem again, however can't be 100% sure it'll solve your problem

Thanks for the suggestions so far guy. I double checked the firewall settings and it's allowed, and I actually created a brand new user account to try to run it on. It still crashed out, I will try changing the default to reset it tonight.
