Devs,

Much of the end game content seems to revolve around "clusters" of enemies... Vagary and Omen to name a few examples...

With our ability to customize our automaton to withstand a great degree of physical and magic damage specific to the Valor Edge frame, I would request a review of either the Strobe attachment and/or the Flashbulb attachment and turning into an area of effect ability as opposed to it being single targeted.

This would greatly even the playing field of PUP being able to reliably participate in content (perhaps with Trusts) similar to other pet jobs.

A flash-all bulb would be nice. Or basically anything thats aoe.

I agree, automaton tanking has given pup a useful role, but since you can only effectively build enmity on a single monster, the fights you can use it on are relatively limited.

A nice solution would be a single attachment or pet command that unlocks various AoE abilities depending on the frame (curaga for whm frame, -aga/aja nukes for blm, an AoE threat generation ability for valoredge, maybe AoE WS for sharpshot/harlequin), but that is a pipe dream.

The Strobe+ could work for an AoE effect, that way it's a separate attachment and can be removed when you only want single target Provoking, and maybe the Grimoire attachment (coined from SCH) that could add AoE to the WHM/BLM frames, a single attachment so it can be used for either and something that could be easily replaced if you're using Trusts.

flashga or provokega attachments sounds good, however only problem is if your in a crowded area, perhaps a pup ability that makes the next provoke/flash turn into area of effect,
after all, you gotta turn off auto's to remove attachments, a pup "ability" would allow the enmity with without turning off auto, changing manuvours and reactivating resulting in reseting burden and manuvoer timers

it works better as an attachment for 2 reasons;

1 if it's a ja, the timer will be too high, automatically, square has zero concept of balance.

2 if its an attachment you have to pick and choose what fights you want it for, that's an incurred negative, and square loves downsides. So theyre much more likely to accept it.

either is fine for me. its more of actually having something for when the time comes.
