Dear adventurers,

It’s been nearly eight years since I began my adventures with Square Enix, and the journey has been filled with quests of memorable experiences that have taught me a great deal and shaped me into the person that I have become today. The next quest in my life is now upon me, but unfortunately the path for this one leads me away from Square Enix and into new opportunities, and it is here that I must say my farewells to the community as a member of the North American community team.

Both FFXI and FFXIV hold a special place in my heart, and I’m hoping that throughout my years on the community team my passion for these games has been clearly conveyed. I’d like to say thank you to everyone in the community for giving me the opportunity to share this passion and be part of something amazing.

Though I leave you all as a community team member, I will once again be returning to the community I came from as a fellow player. There’s tons of excitement to look forward to from here on out, and I wouldn’t miss it for the world!

See you in Vana’diel!

I Will miss getting to continue on seeing you in the forums and at this point, perhaps, no more Twitch video walk through guides after this point Camate? At least before you go, I got to see what you looked like as a person behind the crew and the game player from a Twitch cast video. (-; Anyways, Best of luck to whatever you do and wherever your career journey's may be taking you, Camate!

Hope you get to check into the forums by being just a player again, perhaps camate as I'm just saying it and again, Good Luck on your way!

Hi Camate,

Thank you for all the hard work as a community rep and bridge the gap between dev and the community. Wishing you all the best with your new job, and hope you continue to enjoy FFXI and have fun adventuring.

Camate stated he will visit forums as a player. So, I am sure he is going to look at this.

He's been an active player in FFXI for years, doesn't mean you're going to know who he is when he comes to the forum next time!

It'll be pretty obvious, he'll be the only one that can accurately complain without getting banned.

This feel like a major loss considering no other community rep actually posts or replies in these forums with any regularity.

I hope whatever follows is a good step forward for you, but I also hope whomever's left picks up the slack properly.

1st Grekmuh is gone because people hate the truth being told "we have no plans" and now the heart of FFXI Camate is gone. This look really bad for the future of FFXI. I don't like it.

It certainly is an end of an era. I feel like it was just a while ago, when it was 2011, and I first read your posts around here...

Thank you for sticking around for so long, and much success to you, and your future endeavours!

Fare thee well indeed.

You guys make it sound like it's the end of the world, lol. Life finds a way, move on.

Thank you Camate for your support all this years, even though we mostly, including myself, didn't realize it till much later. You've been around since I personally started fresh in Eorzea long before Dalamud even appears. My hope does crushed when it fell and razed Eorzea into uninhabited mess, but then... I got to enjoy the glorious wonderful world called Vana'diel until Eorzea Reborn beckons me back. And even then, I'm still able to experience the grand Rhapsodies of Vana'diel itself which without doubt could not happen if not for the support of community team as part of these grand finale. All these times, you along with your fellow team has been supporting us adventurers even though we sometime criticize things that we did not understand or comprehend.

Best wishes on your future endeavors! :)

Perhaps the wording is a bit extreme, but considering how a very visible part (here at the forums) that I remember from the beginning is going away, it certainly feels like a change.

Apologies for the unintentional end of the world feels! ^^

Awww. I just checked the forums for the first time in almost a year. I didn't know Camate had left. He was a good DEV moderator. If he ever sees these posts again, I wish him the best of luck on his future indevours. Sad I didn't get to say my farewell the day of his departure ; ;

SE we need a Dev like him. He actually searches through the forums and enjoyed engaging with us. Please have our current moderator walk in his shoes.
