Fan Art contest '11

To SE team:
I just saw the anoucement on POL about the next fanart contest and I was wondering if I could submit one of two pics I've made:

One that I tried to submit last year but didnt make the deadline, as it didnt showed on the full gallery that was posted afterwards.

In any of these cases, the pic wont be submited as their current state, Im planning on recolor the piece that would be ok to submit and add a background

The second artwork you created is perfectly fine to be submitted to our Fan Art Contest! Just be sure to follow the guidelines (http://www.playonline.com/pcd/topics/ff11us/detail/6393/detail.html) and submit the image to the contest email address :)

Hey Camate, it's funny you should respond to this ^^ I just responded to a friend about the art contest elsewhere, and wondered if you think this could be worked out.

"I've come to realize that this is not just a visual art contest, and that it would be much more fun if they made separate art categories to enter. Like Visual Art, Sculpture, culinary art, etc.

Then I would feel much more confident in the chances of my "visual art" being judged fairly against other visual artist and not culinary artist ^^"

As always, any feedback you give would be great, as I would love to enter the art contest! /salute

I was actually thinking in coloring each char separated and donating the pics to the forum so they can turn it into avatars or something, but after reading that there will be a contest .. must..get... chocobo... hat!!!

I'm not sure where else to post this but does SE do fanfiction contests as well? I wrote a little diddy based on a fun dream just for my own pleasure and my freinds love it but I can't get it through my parents' heads it can't be published as a physical book without SE's permision because of copyright law.

Can't wait to see the artworks. Was there a rule this year that submissions are not allowed to be posted online until after the contest? I'd think not from previous posts in this thread, but I remember one year it was one of the rules.

And that wallpaper is adorable, Azjazo.

Yeah, it's as I feared ^^; I would've gotten beat out by culinary art again if I would've entered. They must starve the poor judges before judging these contest lol At least some really cool Visual Art won 2nd place :D Grats to all that entered!

Hopefully next year will usher in art categories that allow winners of specific types of art like a 1st place winner for culinary art, 1st place winner for 2D art, 1st place for sculpture, etc. I'm sure it's hard to mesh all these great forms of art into one category and judge them fairly.

I didnt enter cuz what I said abount the lame rewards in comparision with the new beren given with the purchase.

But yeah, as King' says, its quite unfair to match visual 2d art agains 3d crafts, hope its adressed in next contest, more and fairest categories and better and more unique rewards.

Anyway, congrats to the winners!
