View Full Version : Third Party Apps Becoming More Intrusive?

This may just be a personal observation as I still spend a good amount of time XP/CPing on several characters and I'm on one of the highest populated servers, but has anyone else noticed a spike in the number accounts running around gaining XP/CP using third party tools while AFK?

I noticed one character in particular doing it after the XP/CP campaign started just south of the Ceizak Battlegrounds Frontier Station on Blanched Mandragoras, a popular target for those wanting to go from level 85 to 99. Didn't think much of it at the time as this sort of thing isn't all that uncommon, except I've been popping my head in there almost everyday and there is almost always one or more characters running along preset paths, engaging and fighting every single mandragora in exactly the same fashion. A telltale sign of this is when you claim the monster they've turned to face and engaged from a distance, but haven't yet performed an action on as they'll follow it for two or three seconds every single time. These types of AFK XP/CP characters have sprung up in a lot of the more common areas like Escha Zi'Tah/Ru'Aun and Reisenjima, rarely displaying any discretion whatsoever in what they're doing, sitting in the same spot for an entire day or more. I've pointed them out to a few friends, half of whom see it right away and the other half of which don't see anything strange going on unless they stop to take some time watching them closely or attempt to interact with them.

I used to be able to easily ignore these tools as they were usually in isolated areas that I'd only come across while questing or farming BLU spells, but when they're around almost every corner of the game that becomes a little harder to do.
