Camping Etiquette?

Hello all FFXI players :)

Greetings from Asura Server,

Last night (10/14/2016) me and my wife were camping Apex Raptors duo with trusts.

Three players with the same LS showed up and started camping right on top of us ignoring /tells the entire time.

Is this normal and acceptable behavior? What can be done with such rude people?

They eventually forced us out of the spot we had been camping at for at least an hour. We were attempting to get as much JP as possible, but it seems very unfair that this happened, especially since one of the 3 players that camped on top of us already had Master title on their job.

Very sad to see people being rude like this. What's your opinion?

Waste of time... Technically no rules are being broken, so it is simply a case of moral conduct.

It's poor conduct, but little more than that. Make a note of their names for future reference. There are still a lot of people that take advantage of third party tools/scripts to gain CP, especially during campaigns and often in areas where they believe there won't be much traffic. More often than not nothing happens to them even after being reported to the STF (http://support.na.square-enix.com/contacttop.php?id=20&la=1&_ga=1.170961824.1689670983.1472314664), but as The Great One said, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Not against the rules, it's why you have so many people pulling an ENTIRE area for the BLU/BST to AoE and them not care whether you were there before them or even having the decency to leave a few for you.

If one of the jobs was JP-capped my guess is you might have encountered a person 3-boxing to powerlevel himself. It's probably not a group of discourteous players, just one. That might not make a difference to you but it's probably easier for a single person to be rude than an entire group.

also if they take your camp why not take it back its not hard

... How do you even "take back" a camp.

There are there. You are there too. You just end up fighting for the same mobs for no reason and slowing both yours and their party down.

Its not fun, its frustrating and a waste of time.

That's how you take it back, you make it not worth their time to be there.
