I'm on Bismark. Playonline reports the server is up. I was logged in and running a bazaar, and D/C'd suddenly, and have been unable to log back on.

Trying to log into Phoenix.

After selecting a character, next screen gets to "Notifying lobby server of current selection". The progress bar stops. The message "Error code: FFXi-3305. Unable to connect to world server. Specified operation failed."

Pressing "OK" returns to the window "Select a character to log on with."

Like original poster, http://www.playonline.com/pcd/service/ff11usindex.html reports Phoenix server is up.

I just talked to SE Support - they know that Phoenix has crashed and they are working on it. They told me there will probably be an announcement on the board soon and if not up by tomorrow call them back.

Donald and Hillary are now arguing about the cause of Phoenix going down.

I'd feel better knowing that SE is working on the problem if they would just let us know that they know there is a problem. 2 1/2 hrs after first report, and no response here AND the server status page still shows Phoenix is up.

Several World technical Difficulties (Sep. 26): Follow-up



We are continuing to investigate and proceed with recovery operations for the technical difficulties wherein players cannot access the Phoenix and Bismarck World.
