View Full Version : Do the devs ever actually read anything we post here?

The fact they answered and read questions from reddit and never seem to do anything like as much here it's starting to get to the point of wondering what the point of this forum is?
Even simple stuff like the login points, our suggestions seem to be completely ignored.

They don't. Don't let em fool you.

Yes the stuff is passed on to the Devs and/or they read it themselves.
At least the community manager and his/her crew should do that. As far as passing all of these to the dev team, probably not.

Pretty sure in order to get passed on to the devs it has to be an overwhelming popular opinion or be related to something they've already had in development.
That first part is hard to achieve given how fractured the community is, between super geared elitists and everyone else, you're going to get friction either way on suggestions.

Probably not cuz they said in the Q&A session. GEO and BRD do not have same roles in the party, last time i checked BRD, GEO and COR their priority its buff then proceed to deal damage on the enemy.
They dont understand people want use one support and nobody will move GEO from the Number one. Some parties use two supports and nobody will move COR from the second place, COR can deal massive amounts of damage and have unique buffs.
GEO + COR
GEO + GEO
Nobody uses BRD anymore and this need to be changed badly

"Nobody uses bard anymore" Really? Man, I wonder where I get those songs in gaes Feet then. To nearly echo Rooj's sentiment of "it's your server" earlier, to this I say "it's your circle of players." I even see shouts on our server accepting BRD. With DDs trying to make a comeback, it will be even more often that you see a BRD in alliance content. The DD party should have at least 2 buffing jobs. I'm not saying that GEO isn't more preferable in single parties, because it is. To say that nobody uses BRD though is a little over the top.

You want to change it, then change to bard. Simple.

Dancer with a good GEO and a good BRD can do self darkness without using any JAs at all. It's just amazing for Apex CP parties.

Yeah, from what I've seen things only get attention when they get a high amount of Likes. Buuuut most players in the NA part of the forums post a lot while rarely bothering liking posts, as you often see with popular threads. Thousands of views, only a few likes here and there for the OP.
The Japanese forums on the other hand have people posting less and liking way more, which increases the visibility of popular ideas. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They do. They've answered to a thread I made some time ago. It just takes them a while.

This, so much this. I just started Soloing some Apex mobs on DNC/SAM (For the Store TP) and I was pulling off Double Darkness SC's without any JA's minus the occasional Step to use Climactic+Rudra's to totally decimate a mob.

What I'm more worried is the recent leaked pics of FFXI remake on mobile (not talking about the other FFXI mobile game that's already release as independent one), whether it's actually optional client support to let you play instead on PC, or... a totally new game and thus the old FFXI might gonna being ditched.
Edit:
"reboot", not "remake". my bad. ^^;

you can just google it, or even youtube them.
Anyways, here's one (http://www.rpgfan.com/news/2016/4723.html). or this one (http://twinfinite.net/2016/04/final-fantasy-xi-mobile-screens/).
btw, made mistake on term on my last reply. Should be "reboot" instead of remake, but i'm still unsure. ^^;

Fine then, minor correction, nobody uses PC bards, Trusts bards are indeed one of the better options. And you realize, PC bards can't buff people outside of their party, right?

Those are the pics I found when I googled it. I was thinking you meant something more recent. Also, I'm pretty sure those pics weren't "leaked".

There's still no official clear-published pics of them since 1st time saw them (afaik), even Playonline hasn't making official news about it yet, so I'm still calling it "leaks". But that's just me. And reason why I posted 2 links are to clarify the confusions, since one says reboot and the other still unsure of what to make from those pics.
In comparison, for FF14, usually there's those leaks like those recent FF11 pics in camera quality capture on same day usually like Live Letter series, but enough to tell us about upcoming updates. SE later making official news with official published pics, same as one before. So... yes, we usually have leaks 1st, then official one days/weeks later.

There haven't been leaks that I'm aware of since the data mining of Adoulin's city a few months before the expansion's announcement.
