Probably didn't have Permission to repost the description of what needs to be done in order to complete the first half of the mission starting with Bastok -> Windurst method as it was racking my brain on how to describe it, what I'm going through based on what it states it says to do and honestly, I really didn't feel like filling that huge list of requirements for/of the bug reports section.

The majority main description goes:

(1> Head to the Consulate of San d'Oria in the Metalworks at (I-9) on the second floor and speak to Savae E Paleade for a cutscene.

(2> Enter the Department of Industry adjacent to the President's Office and speak to Pius.

(3> Walk to the Craftsmen's Eatery at (G-9) and speak to Grohm for a cutscene and 3 Pickaxes. <~~{{I never received the 3 pickaxes or any pickaxes from this Grohm as it states, I ended up buying the pickaxes}}~
.......................................... You are able to buy additional Pickaxes from different shops to help with the mission. Pickaxes can break when mining, so having more can save you the trip of returning to Bastok to purchase more in case you are unlucky.

(3> Exit Bastok from Port Bastok, then head to the Palborough Mines located in North Gustaberg at (K-3).
.........................If you are a low level, you may want to bring Silent Oils to prevent aggro from Quadav. <~~{(I am doing this mission with my I-Lvl. Bluemage.)}

(4>Upon entering Palborough Mines, locate a Mythril Seam and mine for Mine Gravel by trading the Pickaxes to the point.

(5> Once you obtain Mine Gravel, go to (I-8) and take the elevator to the third floor.

<~~{I did get the mine gravel after maybe about 4 or 5 pickaxe breaks!}

(6> Head to (I-6) to find a refiner.

(7 & 8> Trade the Mine Gravel to the Refiner Lid. & Pull the lever on the refiner to activate it.

(9> Drop off the ledge to the floor below you. <~{Ironically, I wasn't able to drop off the edge at the refinery with my Blondelle character of Leviathan server, like it said I should thus I had to walk the side path going down around to the lower section.}~~

(10> Locate the second lever and pull it.

(11> ""Mythril Sand"" will be automatically put into your inventory.

(12> Return to Metalworks and -> ""trade the Mythril Sand to Savae E Paleade"" <-to complete this portion of the mission.
............You can easily go back to Bastok Mines by taking the boat on H-8 on the map with the burned hole on it.

???---So ~my problem lies~ within trading the -> "Mythril Sand" -> to the NPC: "Savae E Paleade" as absolutely nothing happens upon every time I have executively tried to trade him!!! He resides within the San d'Oria Consulate of the metalworks in Bastok of course!

Please help/help~somone or SE please fix? Thx!!

~{Aside from the main thing above and most likely someone/some will have a beef with me for mentioning it simply by them reading it even if they really didn't have to, here is what else I am attempting to do before full quit+full Delete}~> ~>
As pointless as this may sound, I'm trying to get the last city done for blondelle on her missions that I could have + Should have done years ago in all old 3 main cities and including doing the rhapsodies missions on both characters: Yo'gorock & Blondelle including doing Yogorock's two cities like blond and maybe doing arch Dyna Mega Bosses wins in all Dyna area's on Yogorock before the end of July or end of subscription period which will still be running just a few days after last day of July. My drug like addiction is too high with this game, with my mental health becoming in on a serious decline and real life became nothing/none existing from playing this game for far too many years in way as if this game were a real life job to point you lose a GF, then loose her further afterwards as an friend to no real life face to face local friends at all, only long distance in ffxi gaming friends who will chat with you on facebook, you don't go outside or go anywhere with trying to accomplish fake goals of the game instead of accomplishing any real life goals in actually having an actual life instead. Yes, I have read the disclaimer for many years but years of reading it, its more less became a just kind of there thing that you always hit "Yes" to it, Yes, I know you can just take a break, not delete account into coming back to the highest drug addictions game of trying to get further, "always" having to have something to complete that you will always have to do because you're never caught up and never will be caught up in the game since the games always adding something more to complete.. yatta, yatta, getting bored explaining it all even all the re-explanations of same to everyone of ffxi as to why I need to seriously pull the plug out completely to playing this game for good to be getting a start on fixing/repairing my real life after so many years of ffxi. Still having a hard time quitting as I can't withstand so far on that idea everyone has about deleting the life of their characters. Like for instance if you delete your characters, you feel you're sending them to a very deeply dark and eerie grave, maybe even with a gravestone and then begin to wonder if maybe by chance they actually just become reborn again into another players hands to be played again? If you mention this bit to the other players in game then you wind up with those few asking to take over you keys to you SE account and characters to be played besides the worriedness on its a wrong side to be doing, on about giving your account out with your info in it which I won't do that and as those players keep mentioning all you have to do is change it to something anonymous and you're okay to hand it over, the only idea liked is characters live on not actually a death upon deleting them!! It's the tole this game has on oneself the longer a person/player works on progressing their characters through all of those years or even the beginning years as its I've put a lot of work into them, I can't simply just delete them and my account type of ordeals.

Anyways, either way, I seriously have to quit this game at least by the end of my current subscription period with only the few goals left keeping me there in the game and not sure how within a few days, a couple weeks or less left that I am going to get all the remaining city missions done for both characters, get both yogorock & Blondelle also done with the rhapsodies missions and yogorock done with maybe all the Arch Dyna Mega-Bosses, and would be nice if I could actually get the past cities done or even Abby story lines finally completed by that time before I completely forever-an-ever end my account with these characters being ended as well.

Sure even if I may never see it if ever happens to pass where the auction house is begun to be given the capabilities to put several thousands of items up at one time to finally match the number of thousands of items in circulation of the game today at any given moment, sure if it were ever to come to pass even if it were a lighter version of it coming to pass were the ability to have all crafts max levels unlocked to crafting max levels uncapped even if it were across several characters into those maxes being all uncapped craft levels were finally to pass but our luck SE would set up an charge fee for that ability to actually becoming a passed added feature to the game, maybe.. I may never see them pass any changes to those two part sandy at the docks NPC's quest given by them to get a lu 'Shang's fishing pole especially with blondelle since the beginning of times, in the beginning years of ffxi is when I first began working on that quest from when fishing poles were just a straight drop into the water to its current now phase of having to move it back and forth dependent upon the arrow. I mean really I've only made it to 1,500 fish traded in all those years from 02/04 til present in trading to meet the requirement of 30,000-fish in moat carps & forest carps varieties in which I will be leaving game still uncompleted-unfortunately, even the creel of moat carps doesn't really help with this quest and even so if I'll be missing out on so much more!!

I just hope to complete all, everything by then and already begun the giving everything away on both characters to keep it in circulation amongst the players and greatly saddened by the ability into not being able to be giving away a lot of rare, ex, rare/ex items and gears/weapons to keep them in existence amongst another player staying in the game. I even have quite a few players giving me the gifting title of being the characters being as Christmas in July by doing so.

:) :o ;) So this will be my farewell to all even my farewell to the game creators, the SE teams and all incorporated into this game or continuously, tiresly working on this game. I just wish there were a way to give my characters a proper bon-a-appetite/a bon-Farewell or a proper going away from playing them for so long and actually it would be if they could be in some way to live on throughout the game that everyone see's them. maybe they become part of plots of having storylines of my characters names that everyone/every player plays through, perhaps, even after my departure, perhaps. That be really cool. The real life name is yosemite, Yo for short and it's where Yogorock's name originally came from, being born with the name from it in mind. :cool: :D ;)

Okay, back to the game, ending it here/signing this long thread off here. Later's All!!

So weird and odd!!! I found the fix by just going ahead in defeating the NM's of a Shadow Dragon and the Batty-Eye then returning to the metalworks.

I found something out by what I will call an experiment, thinking over when Grohm in his text chat statement said/mentioned in the 2nd half: "you will find your Answer's there" answering to part of the first half in his previous message before that, being: "Oh, and there's a strange magic circle at the deepest part of the Palborough Mines" Then I finally began to wonder, What if Go out to the burning circle in Palborough Mines, what would happen If I clicked on that very circle Grohm had spoken of to finding the answers to? So I went out to the burning circle to check it out, I was presented with entering the ~{Mission 2} Final Battle and thus I entered the battlefield defeated both in one shot finding out at the same time that trusts really weren't even needed into the battlefield of course with my 99~I-Level 118 Bluemage but they can be called into the battlefield none the less, so after their defeat and upon my return to the metalworks, I returned to the Craftsman's Eatery as I went back to see if I could now finally get the pickaxe's from Grohm but it was just the same exact message with still no pickaxes received thus next I headed off to the Sand d'Orian Consul to see if I could trade the Mithril Sand to Savae E Paleade but the trading of it still wasn't accepted but upon clicking on him I received a CS and Sandy Side mission Complete along with Obtaining the text KI of a Kindred report without any trading of the mithril sand at all.

Now I wonder if this means the whole entire mission is complete without even of yet done the Windy side of it but now off to the Windurst side to find out and give the edit follow up on it!!

I hope someone will write up this fix into the FFXIclopedia and BG-Wiki pages as an if your stuck on not being able to do any of the above suggested then go ahead and head straight to the burning circle into the battlefield kind of fix so anyone else stuck with it can get past it ~finally!!!! ;) :D

Edit!: Erroneously Yes, this made the mission fully complete jumping over everything straight to the end and now working on the next Mission now rank 3 of the last city to work on. {Side Note:} Actually kind of cool I get to jump to the end and keep reaching the goals I've set before I quit which hoping it to be before subscription runs out to delete it all by then!
