Hello!
I've recently migrated from the Xbox 360 console having played only there until the end of the support.
I'm still getting used to the PC version as there are some minor differences. Just recently discovered that I can rise the number of sound effects (more sound effects could be heard during battles on the Xbox) in the config setup utility.
Details:
The problem here is the controller.
> In my Windows 7 laptop, the controller works exactly like in the Xbox by choosing the "Alternate Setup E". The button layout doesn't coincide with Windows, but it works. (i.e. Button 4 is Select/Confirm but it actually works like it was intended, as Button 1, it's just the number label in the dropdown utility that is wrong, so not a problem)
> In my Windows Vista desktop, the controller is not working like intended.
The "Enable XInput" flag is unavailable. When selecting the "Alternate Setup E" for the XInput controllers, the "Enable XInput" is flagged, right, but after closing the Gamepad Configuration Tool, the flag is missing. It doesn't save the setting. Also, the vibration doesn't work.
Steps:
1. Controller is working in Control Panel. It's the same controller for both systems.
2. Gamepad Configuration Tool shows "Enable Gamepad" flagged
3. Gamepad Configuration Tool shows "Enable force feedback" flagged
4. Gamepad Configuration Tool shows "Enable XInput" unflagged in Vista
4. Selecting preset E, Gamepad Configuration Tool shows "Enable XInput" flagged in Vista, but after clicking "OK" and opening Gamepad Configuration Tool again, it's unflagged.
5. "Test Gamepad" works in Seven like Xbox (i.e. Button 4 as button 1 and vibration)
6. "Test Gamepad" works in Vista like button labels in dropdown (i.e. Button 4 as button 4 and no vibration, this leads to many buttons not properly set in Vista, like the Dpad and triggers are not working and the menu navigation is used by bumpers and back/start.)

Vista driver used by controller is xusb21.sys and WdfCoInstaller01007.dll. Xbox 360 Accessories 1.20.146.0 installed.
Seven driver used by controller is xnacc.sys.
I've tried forcing Vista to use xnacc.sys but it disables the device, saying it's not signed. Controller works only reverting back to xusb21.sys.
Thank you very much!
