Alter ego extravaganza announcements with no information

At least twice, alter ego extravangza announcements are made and direct the reader to a forum post for information:

The post is from 2015 and details how someone could have once acquired some alter egos prior to that time, or alter egos obtained from quests.

Presumably, there is something new that is the extravangza, but I have not found any description of the event.

THe Master list sorta tells when a alter ego is available but its not very user friendly, nor does it tell you where/how to obtain...
