View Full Version : Unnerf Nirvana's avatar magic attack bonus please.

When Nirvana begins its item level ascent, it COMPLETELY loses what was formerly its second most valuable trait: avatar magic attack bonus. The 2 extra avatar levels from 119 Nirvana don't make up for it when using magic blood pacts. I have to macro in a dinky Sparks staff for magic pacts to get better damage. Could Nirvana please at least be better than the Sparks of Eminence staff for magic damage?
You would think they would at least put it on the 119 III Nirvana, but the mythics got no love in that update.

mythics got some love but every weapon only got it for the master rather then separating the bonus for pets jobs. Would have thought it would have got an increase to its BP damage rather then the attack of the summoner since we're never close to endgame fights and wouldn't even have the accuracy to hit anything there either.

No they really didn't. They got +27 combat skill which is 24 accuracy, the same as all the other RME, and less of an increase in base damage than the other RME. While relic and empy weapons both got increases to aftermaths, as well as various other bonuses to their abilities. For example Claustrum now gives +60 accuracy to the pet and owner instead of just +40 to the owner. Isn't that odd that they remembered the pet stuff on Claustrum, the staff that blm and smn both can use, but not on Nirvana, the one that is solely for smn?

But you're overlooking the aftermath effect of the weaponskill for mythics. Its kinda hard to put big stats on a weapon that you can more or less choose what bonus you get when you weapon skill. Yes more stats can be placed on the weapon but they are limited for combat ones. I could see maybe adding an effect the augments a job trait on them though for melee jobs.
Mythic aftermaths are terrible. With all the triple and double attack on gear now occasionally attacking twice or thrice is pointless, and the amount of attack and accuracy that aftermath 2 and 1 give are minuscule. Also all of the mythic weapons do have abilities that target unique aspects of the job. Those could have been improved, but they weren't, and in fact are the same as they were at lvl 99.

Technically it trades avatar mab for pet bp.

Ya, sure, 40% Double attack and 20% Triple attack is pointless... Any Relic Owner would gladly trade their aftermath for mythic's unless they are very stupid. They weren't improved because not only is the aftermath a longer duration it's far superior to Relic's and probably still better then Empy's.

If it was 40% Double attack and 20% Triple attack it would be great but it's not. It's occasionally attacks thrice 20% and occasionally attacks twice 40%. There is a really big difference.

Yet still far better then other aftermath's.

If you love mythic aftermath so much just make a Ryunohige and stop crying about shock spikes.

Just stating facts since for some reason you have the incorrect opinion that mythic aftermath is weak. I'm "crying" about one of the worst decisions SE has ever made for any job on a JSE piece. You're crying about very strong aftermath's not being even stronger.

I agree that Nirvana III has no real upside to the normal 119 version outside of accuracy for keeping Aftermath up. Not even an additional +10 BP damage? An additional Avatar level? Pet stats? Once again SMN is being laughed at (1200 Job gifts anyone?).

The funny thing is Claustrum 119 III actually gained a pet effect. Accuracy +60 (both pet and master), but still. That's something I never saw coming. (aftermath refresh increased to(by?) 15 and damage taken -20%)
Nothing was taken off either, so why they took anything off any other weapon is beyond me.
