http://finalfantasyxi.com and http://www.finalfantasyxi.com/na/ are still down, and lead to a "System Maintenance" page on a EU website.
It has been like this weeks/months. This used to be the official product page for NA. JP's and EU's are still up, and actually JP's looks really nice (http://www.finalfantasyxi.jp/).
