All 109 gear should be upgraded to Ilevel 119

All first tier AF / relic / emp gear should be 119, this especially applies to Emp gear since Vagary is such a large road block. The reason to go from 1st to 2nd stage is the extra things it offers, it should not be getting to 119.

Given that Ilevel makes so much difference in this game, in terms of trust levels, XP and other things it's unfair that they are 109 (even sparks gear is 117). This applies more than ever now with a new 119 starter set being added and Aluvion gear being so easy to get.

Even using emp +1 pieces over sparks gear for a moment delevels trusts while you have them equipped. Using a trust tank and using 109 emp gear to weapon skill could lead to that tank being 1 shotted for instance.

Not really following the logic here... I109 should be upgraded to I119... at last check there is a process in the game for this already... so perhaps some clarification is required on this topic, as to what you are really asking for.... just my two-cents.

I'm not sure I understand. Why not upgrade or time when you switch or not use it? Not that a single piece of armor will change your average ilvl that much anyways... and heck some jobs still have lvl 75 era pieces as their best in slot...

Gear you have to work to upgrade should not be so far below basic starter gear like sparks set, what possible sense does it make for sparks set to be 117 and tier 1 JSE to be 109? Since this update is supposedly bringing 119 gear for everyone the base level of JSE tier 1 should match that.

Why should gear you have to put a fair bit of effort into be Ilevel 109, or is the idea that it should be unusable until you can +2 it due to it crippling trusts? Also as I said, most can't upgrade emp gear past tier 1 so they won't be taking it to 119, that makes it near useless.

I have to agree on one point, Sparks-gear has lots of stat-weight attributed to it, but the sets are deliberately poorly designed (because it's freebie gear).

Also, most Artifact/Relic/Empyrean gear is not meant to be full timed. Artifact usually has some okay pieces, Relic is for macros and while Empyrean has interesting set bonuses, you give up so much to get them
