Posting nothing of importance

I'm seeing people for there responses just pretty much posting nothing but this.

to bypass the 10char limit, they post nothing to contribute to a thread and it's pretty much spam.

I think it would be great if there was a rule against posting just a few words that have nothing to contribute to the conversation at all instead of people spamming.

I disagree. Sometimes a brief reply is far more effective and constructive than a wall of text.

They should remove the character limit, as it's just an annoyance. And as you said, people will type 1234567890 to bypass it anyway.

I don't see what harm it does. If someone agrees or disagrees with you and wants to type a post of 'no' or 'yes' then why not? It's hard to say something really awful in less than 10 char (although I'm sure people will prove me wrong).

I see alot of posts removed by SE for off-topic and such, they can remove the troll posts, too. I do NOT envy them the job of having to read all of them to decide which are trolls and the like. Maybe a policy of 5 off-topic posts in a 2 month period leads to a 3 month suspension of posting privledges, 6 months for 2nd offense and permaban of your SE account (yes, game too) for 3rd?

Amen Rambus,you hit on main reason i quit..not only is SE letting game die,and screwing ppls that worked hard for many yrs to get ra/ex weapons...(ie bow) they make it easy for noobs to lvl so fast and get equal gear....made whole reason for working those yrs irrelivent.Crafting,questing,farming,camping,to make your own gil,pay for your own gear (w/out buying gils/charc's),took away all aspects of accomplishment the game supposedlly was made for.I myself helped thousands over all the yrs i played....now trying to get help worthless,and very few of the good ppls left in game,sad to see a good thing go .

I do NOT envy them the job of having to read all of them...If the post is only 2-3 letters, it'll make their job easier. lol
