So I was playing ffxi when maintenance popped up. After killing w/e I was fighting I logged out. Attempted to play later the next day and was unable to connect. Checked my internet connection and everything was good. Moved to a second laptop. Still a no go. Change to my MIFI internet through Verizon...nope. Tried hotspot from phone...nope. Ultimately I tried 3 computers and 3 different internet connections and waiting over 24hrs before contacting SE. After making first call I was told some areas are still affected if your character was located there you may not be able to log in. Service rep said wait a couple hours try again if not call back with this ticket number. waited 3 hours then after waiting on the phone for 43 minutes got the same rep. He advised there were several people having same issue as me. The only solution port forward connection and hope for the best if not wait for character to log out of system. So I forwarded the correct ports(or so I thought) and still nothing called a third time to make sure I had done everything I could. Third call was a different rep...eric I believe was VERY short with me and when I was trying to verify I wrote down correct port numbers dude just kept saying contact your internet service provider. Sorry to ramble but I came back to game less than a week ago was blown away at all of the updates then this happens. I have another account from when I use to dual box and it lets me log in with that account but I just forked over 15 bucks for a game I can't play not about to spend another penny atm.

Anyone else going through this or found a work around I would greatly appreciate it. Have to go back to work tomorrow night and if I cant play ill have to take care of some RL stuff >.>

I'm having the exact same thing. I can't sign in with my main account, but I'm signed in fine with my secondary account. I get the POL-0206 error every time I try to sign into POL. I had the same conversation with SE on the phone.

same code for me 0206. it would be one thing to say itll take x amount of time but the answer I got was theres no telling.....

Has there been any update to this at all?
I've been unable to login as well. Getting the same error code 0206.
Same issue for the past 24 hours. Can login to main account, but not my other account. Error 0206.

Not a update one...they are aware of it but apparently its not effected enough to matter. Just told to wait :mad:

I keep trying to get in every so often. When I do get in ill post so if you're getting the same thing you will know to try.

hello there i hope the devs will read this i cant log in playonline since the update it just hangs on the password authentication and then disconect with 0206 error code i did everything possible even reinstall the pol aplication nothing else i can think of doing it wont let me in .... maybe its the server still??? but on the main page they say its resolved its no for me ....:mad:

Having the same problem.
So I am not alone with this irritating problem. I have a ticket number from this afternoon but have yet to be contacted via the '24/7' email support* which is closed after normal business hours.

Mine is now working. so it took somewhere between 36 and 48 hours.
I got an email response saying I would be contacted within 48 hours, game seems to be working now. Hopefully it's working for everyone with the same issue.
