RESOLVED
As the title says, I get this error using my same POL ID I have always used.
Can log into SQ ENIX account management fine.

I even changed password, removed my profile from POL and re-added, same error.
File check on POL and no issues found.

Any ideas why I can't log in?

Details: Incorrect POL ID or password
Steps:
1. Successful log in to SQ ENIX account website
2. reset password
3. removed and re-added POL ID in POL
4. try to log in and receive "Incorrect POL ID or password"
<*Add more steps if necessary.>

I'm glad to see someone else getting the same error as me. I thought my account might've been compromised at first, but my ID/password works just fine when I log into SE's Account Management website, so I'm guessing it has something to do with the current POL login issues. Logged in just fine in the morning, but ran into these problems in the evening.

Resolved

By changing the POL password after I had changed my SQ ENIX password. For some reason it did not work right away, but it did take eventually.

So I reset the SQ ENIX account password, and in SQ ENIX account management, I followed this:

How to Change your Existing PlayOnline Password (Square Enix Account Management System)

1. Log into the Square Enix Account Management System (https://secure.square-enix.com/account/)
2. Select “Select Service” under “Services and Options” from the left hand menu.
3. Select “PlayOnline / FINAL FANTASY XI.”
4. Select “Options List” for the appropriate service account.
5. Locate the “PlayOnline ID Options” column and select the “Update” button located next to “Update PlayOnline Password”

How to Update your PlayOnline Password (PlayOnline Viewer)

1. Activate the PlayOnline Viewer , select the appropriate PlayOnline ID from the Member List and then select “Settings.”
2. Update the “PlayOnline Password” field.
3. Make sure that your Square Enix ID and one-time password are entered correctly (If you have a token attached to your Square Enix account).
4. Click “OK.”

* Please note that the “PlayOnline Password” is different from the “Member Password.”
