Hi all,
I had a quick (I hope!) question about how to download the expansions as I bought the ultimate collection seekers addition. The game is downloaded and I am able to play it but i noticed that half of the expansions are lit up. I didn't think a whole lot of it until I tried to go to a new area just now and it failed to let me do so.

You bought? It's free now to download from POL:

Like always, you still have to have bought the game and expansions to play them; it's just free to download it now.

You may have figured this out by now, Tylami, as it's been a few days since you first posted. However, as the previous posters said, you have to purchase the expansions, which is usually done these days as part of the Ultimate Seekers Edition digital download (but an XB360 physical edition does exist,...its codes are still good even though the game won't be usable in a couple of weeks from now). That brings us to the subject of expansion codes. Much like many special promotional items, I believe the expansions and add-ons (except for Rhapsodies) still have to be registered with an included alphanumeric code. If these aren't registered on your Square-Enix Account, then those expansions won't be "lit up" on the title screen, and you won't have access to areas and content that are part of that expansion. From my first reading of your post, it sounded like this was the problem you're having, so just register those codes!

I recently purchased the Ultimate Collection Seeker's Edition as well, and am encountering this issue. I've got the digital version for PC, and I was only given the -one- activation code for the entire collection. I look on my Square Enix Account Management page and it shows that I'm registered for all expansions and add-ons. But when I boot up the game, I'm given the error saying that I don't have some expansion packs installed. I'm missing Rise of the Zilart, and the smaller addons, the trilogy that included Shantotto's Ascension and all of the Abyssea packs. I have no idea what to do to get the missing content installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update: I reopened the FFXI installer and am manually installing Rise of the Zilart, its in-process as of now. I'm hoping this will fix my issue. I seem to recall that A Crystalline Prophecy through A Shantotto Ascension required RotZ, and I think the Abyssea packs may have too. Will post another update when the process is completed.
