POL not launching on Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview [Archive]

I'm running Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview build 14271 and POL.exe won't get past the splash screen; it just silently crashes. I know being on the preview has been an issue before. Anyone else having the same problem?

Oh, okay. Well, I'm not using Windower, and that thread is about Windows 10 in general, so that doesn't help me, but thanks for the input. It might help someone else who reads the thread.

I'm not running the Insider build but since the last cumulative update on Tuesday I'm also unable to launch PlayOnline if I have my gamepad on(plugged in or wireless, an Xbox One controller). Launching without gamepad works fine and turning it on after POL has already launched doesn't crash it. Can't use gamepad on POL but works fine on FFXI.
This update seems to have updated the gamepad driver.

Thank you, you're a lifesaver. Was trying to figure out what was wrong, though in my case, POL was working just fine, but FFXI crashed upon launching. The one time it didn't, my keyboard ceased working, though, as it turned out upon trying to launch a different game, this was also a result of my Xbox One Controller being plugged in. Unplugging it did do the trick, so thanks a lot!

I don't know if SE has made any official statements relating to windows 10 yet, but even if they're officially supporting it right now, they definitrely aren't supporting insider preview builds,, which simply means "if you have a problem, we can't help you."

I am aware of that which is why I didn't bother to fill out a bug report.

Also, the controller thing made no difference, but thanks for the input.

Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview build 14271 it have problem you have rollback your build to early build until they fix it and Xbox 360 need to delay for end of support please keep Xbox 360 until this is have been fix.

They're not going to delay their plans because the game doesn't work correctly on an unsupported platform (e.g. a preview build of windows). Revert to an official build or older operating system, or try running the game with compatibility mode enabled for an earlier OS.

Success! In build 14279, POL and FFXI run without fail.
