Ok typically I kill the Eph mobs for azure to build up lights fast. I was told they give between 7-10 lights per kill. Wiki says 5-10 lights per kill. I just did a low man where we killed 10 of these Ephemeral Murex's in Attowa plus a few normal monsters before we were finally able to cap our azure out.

Did we get REALLY unlucky or did we do something wrong? I know we killed 10 because there was only 3 of us and I was counting more so near the end when we kept not getting capped blue chests.

How fast you cap on Eph mobs for Azure depends on a couple of things.

- How many Abyssites of Kismet you have
- Luck

If different members have varying Kismet abyssites then it`s possible that some members of your group aren`t capped while others are.

Also, I believe that the level of the mob and possibly even random chance will effect the amount of lights you get from them.

Well from what my understanding is Pearlescent light increases the frequency of which chests pop, however Azure only increases the frequency of Azure chests when the chests pop.

I've heard Ephemeral mobs in Attohwa are broken at the moment. They don't seem to give enhanced lights.

Capped Azure in Attohwa the other night with about 5 or so ephs. It did seem to take a little longer than normal and It was a little odd, seemed like we went from chests giving us 400 cruor straight to capped lights within a mob or two.

Having said that, lights are so easy to cap in the new 3 zones (what's up with that?) that anything from the first 6 zones now feels slow.

Azure increases the potency of the rewards in the blue chests.

It would be nice if you could see your abyssea light tally whenever you /healed

counting lights can be annoying.

The general understanding is that the strength of the light is determined on how the mob checks to you...has to be T+ to get the bigger numbers. No way to actually confirm that as we don't have a way to actually read the level the game is holding for us--but I've noticed it takes more to get to 1250xp/1k cruor/TE's when the ephemirals are conning DC to me.

T1 VNM's are 5 a pop flat out, so that's an easy way to guage it. Kill a handful of them to knock out some pearl/azure quick, then grab some amber if needed. Then just nab the eph. as they pop in camp for additional Azure as new players join up. You can cap all lights in a fragment of the time so you can get on to better things faster that way.
