A couple of years ago, there was an event to stress out the servers. Many of you might not recall it or not even know of it since this is really really old.

Sadly I couldn't find the post for it on the past topics area of the main site. If anyone finds it, please post the link to it.

The event was introduced as a competition between servers to gain a new transportation system. In order to do that we had to fight HUGE trees in many different areas. There were these huge trees all over the place and you had to talk to a Moogle to enter the fighting mode for this trees. Depending on the area there was a level cap added so that everyone with the minimum requirements could enjoy it in certain areas.
These fight required that anyone available would have a chance to get engaged and kill try to get the trees down. HP took a whole lot of time to do, it was fun to see how many people tried to get said mobs and cut them.

So, my suggestion is to do a similar event between updates, or on a monthly basis, and get servers to compete with each other to see which server gets the mobs down first. On every new cycle a Bonus will be granted to the server that got the mobs down first second and third place. A mini bonus for the servers that got the mob down and nothing for the servers that were not able to kill it.

Example:

Cycle one:
- Super HNM Spawns on multiple areas. (When introduced to the game this event had huge trees, it could be any type of mob or even new mobs that the dev team could introduce.
-Requirements for the cycle are introduced to the players. It doesn't have to be the same requirement in every cycle. Anyone meeting the requirements can engage this Super HNM.
-Time for fun, players engage during the whole cycle.
- Defeating the monsters would get a bonus for the whole server. (Probably something of the Mog tablets nature but somewhat more powerful).
-Time interval has passed: new SHNM introduced for the next cycle.

At the end of each cycle the 10 best performing characters (could be a bit more, 10 is just an arbitrary number) also get better rewards, something like when you find a mog tablet but with much greater value.

Super HNM: Really strong monster that has to last at least a considerable part of the cycle. It can also be in multiple areas, like it was done when the big trees were there. Since there are 12 months in a year, how about doing something with the 12 zodiac signs or something similar. Hoping here for new and unique monsters for this idea.

Rewards:
- For the whole server, mog tablet like rewards.
- For the Server's Champion: Player that did the best performance, maybe an exlusive WS for the next cycle.
- The top tier fighters for the cycle get high value items, doesn't have to be a gil item, it can also be a rare/ex item, or a rare/ex equivalent of the most wanted items.

Data of how servers are doing could be posted on the main site. That way people would know how they are performing against other servers.

Get players involved. Art suggestions from players, kinda like the fan art contest to add this new monsters.

I hope this is more or less detailed to give an idea of what I have in mind and that I know it can be implemented, since it was done a couple of years ago in a way to stress test servers.

Just an idea I throw here for the devs to think about it.

That event was stupid, largely because of the potential to not get something, or that it would be given anyway. Don't really like the mog tablets either, as only a lucky few get the real goods. (I like the kupowers of course, but I'm talking about the item rewards.) an exclusive WS is a stupid idea. Everyone but that one guy will be crying about how they can't have it.

And that one guy will probably be a gimp in full perle/aurore/teal...

I'm more for a return of the previous one time events. Like the ones for the giant crystals that gave the dandy spectacles reward. Or the one that gave out the dash sash reward. There's been lots of one time only events, or events that only happened the first few years the game was out that a huge majority of players have never even seen or heard of.

I don't really see it that way. This idea gives anyone the chance to do something, and I mean anyone just like a Bonanza. A bonanza also gives a gimpy person full in perle aurore or teal the chance to get neat stuff. After all the whole point of the game is to get better stuff that the one you already have. This would be just another way to get it.

Prizes can be rethought, it doesn't have to be like a mog tablet kind of enhancement, but it was the first idea it came to my mind that can do some profit to the whole server. It also doesn't have to be 10 persons that get only a thing, since it's a major scale event it can actually get to alot more people.

Fiat Lux gives some neat stuff, people just don't have access to it nor people do it, but at some point people spammed it and got really nice stuff. It's up to SE to balance the chances so that people get access to it. Or any other battle scenario found in the game for that matter. It's probably the reason Dynamis is beign redone and so are other aspects of the game.

This kind of event would also be a challenge for a server and if done properly could aso mean more interaction with other players. For all I care it doesn't have to be a way to reward single players but whole Linkshells. Something that would force linkshells to work together in a greater scale. And introduce a new way of reward team effort in game. It would also keep the MMO elements the game is slowly losing towards the "let's make everything easy" trend that has been happening with recent changes to the game.
