Out of abyssea faster skill ups on decent challenge mobs

Is it me since the servers were down last month as anyone noticed weapon skill ups arnt fast any more on decent challenge + mobs for example luf medows roc mobs 83-86 are decent challenge and im barely skilling up my gk that is now at 356 and should cap at 361 is anyone else noticing the lack of weapon skill ups?

that's more because of the difference in stat levels. It's not just whether its DC, its also a comparison of your stats versus the mob's as well. You could try changing mobs to something closer to 89, or swapping out some gear. I ran into this working on my WAR's GA in sky. It eventually got to the point where I was running around without any armor on at all--but it kept the skillups coming.

Thanks Raist but i have noticed the same with low level jobs like from 1-10 the skill ups are like they are back to prior the version update really slow not like how they were after the update were they were crazy fast.

could just be the moon phase or bad karma or who knows what in this game. The whole process is random after all...and we all know how crappy their randomnization engine is in this game. Give it time and it should kick in again. When I was leveling BST in Abyssea just before the shutdown I would go long stints with no skillups, then suddenly get a string of .5's and go back to nothing for a while--and that was across 30 levels and 20 meritts in one run on mandies an Attowha.

Random is random...and it sucks sometimes.

The skill ups are also slower then they were from before the update. It almost seems like they concensed them. Instead of gaining multiple .1 or .2 they simply "store up" and you gain .4 and .5 at the built up rate.

i noticed a similar issue the otherday while skilling up in kuftal tunnel

incase you ask for all the information

while skilling up in kuftal tunnel, it took 8 hours to get from 150 to 180 staff skill on WHM and for Club from 123 to 182 it took 9.5 hours the following day, last time i skilled up there it only took 2-3 hours for a similar skill range.

was also skilling up H2H on Nin at the time too since i didnt want to kill the mobs too fast and took 2 das to get from 132 to 187 (this could be due to skill rank but not sure)

goto misereux and do the birds i have capped 12 weapons for lvl 90 jobs so far there its slow but they do eventually cap
