so many times now others and myself have noticed party members and npcs not loading, we are unable to even target them like they're not even in the zone. also my moogle in MH isnt loading either so i have to access MH from the main menu. party members not loading is going to be a big problem for now if they dont load in BCNMs and other events like dynamis where you can only enter once a day.

Really does need fixing. took 5 zones for the bluemage npc to load so I could get armband for an assault

Then inside, npc wouldn't load, managed to get it to and on the completion of it the run seal to warp home didn't load.

Once or twice is cool im not fussy but almost every time you zone? nah.. fix please!

I had this happen to me when trying to deposit merits on the goblin in reisenjima. Neither goblin loaded nor the conflux. I had to warp ring out of the zone and lost my mollifier.

Well maybe this isn't as widely known as I thought it, but whenever you come across loading issues, room permitting, you just run away from whatever you can't see for like 50 yalms then you run back and things will load, as far as a windows PC is concerned.

I wasn't very interested in logging in tonight with this problem. I know how to deal with it, but it's way too common after nearly every zone I made last night, so I've had enough for a day or three...

You have to log out and back in, that seems to fix it. Please fix this SE its horrible, I lose bcnms because my white can't see me.

Having the same issue with Sinister Reign. We did the run like three times and players were not loaded. Matter of fact, there have been times when the NMs didn't even attack at all and sat there for a beating. So, unless they want this to continue to happen ( I guess the word I am looking for is exploit), they will need to fix this soon or who knows what will happen next to players, NPCs, and zones alike. :(

You're not alone on this. As I can read on your post, windows users are having issues with how clients do interact with server. For me, this issue started with the November Update. SE acknowledged 'em as bugs, but haven't done much. :-\

Just so you know, FFXIV is being affected by server problems as well. I have had issues on both FFXI and FFXIV the last few days. I got stuck in place in La Theine Plateau and couldn't move anywhere on chocobo. And on FFXIV, things aren't loading up in the zones as well.

SE uses the same type of servers for both MMOs, in case you did not know that. They must be having server problems with their data centers. And in case you did not know, the data center for FFXI is in Japan for all language versions. Plus it is incredibly ancient. They may need to upgrade the hardware.

Who says they haven't upgraded the hardware over the years for FFXI? Server hardware usually only has a warranty of 3-5 years, and absolutely cannot be expected to last 10+ years. If they VMed the servers, they could easily have them move to different hardware, and have failover procedures to shift them to another set of hardware if they have a failure.

It is a code issue and has nothing to do with ddos. It is simply an issue with stuff not loading, then not checking to see that its not loaded.
