XBOX 360 Logging issues with main characters after November 2015 Update.

Hello everyone,

I got a question, I post it on the general discussion thread because I want to know if anybody else have the same problem.

After the last update I just can't log into my main character on Xbox 360.

I say this because I can log in with my mules, although it takes several more seconds from when you chose your character to the black screen that shows ***downloading data***

I even noticed that when is on the black screen before the letters appear, the Xbox is frozen. I know this because I accidentally pressed the Xbox button where you can see if you're logged in Xbox LIVE and it just gave me the sound feedback but the menu didn't appear.

After like one minute or a minute and a half the Xbox unfreezes but a POL error appears since it didn't give the network feedback it needs to keep connected to the server.

I guess its a bug that is related with how much stuff you have in your inventory, since is the logic conclusion I reached after wondering why I can log into my mules and not in my main character.

Do you guys have the same issue recently? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I know is not a network issue as well since I can log in my main character on my computer with no problem whatsoever.

The update seems to of broken Xbox FFXI, I can log on, on my main, but zoning freezes the game for almost a minute, I don't have any zoning issues on my laptop.

My mule with an almost empty Mog Wardrobe zones fine, while a second with a full wardrobe encounters the same zoning freeze, backing up your inventory claims.

With support ending soon, I doubt much can be done to fix the issue, maybe reducing the amount of items in your inventory will help.

That is a sad, but maybe a true statement indeed...

It always has hiccuped after zoning, freezing for like 2-3 seconds while loading inventory, but nothing like ever been unable to load the character into the zone, making it disconnect. *sighs*

Yeah sadly it is a pain, simply I cannot play with my Xbox anymore...

I also have zoning issues, When the game finishes loading in a zone, it loads the inventory and then freezes for a bit, after which it resumes and I can see that I have the Red Disconnect Icon above me. My Second Xbox doesn't do this at all, so I thought that maybe is had to do with the items stored on my Xbox. So, I went through and deleted games ans such I wasn't playing. Still happened. The only thing I can think of, was during the Update, there as a file that showed up in the list when I had a disconnect from the update. Think it has a 38 in it, clicked through so fast.

I don't have any other Xbox but I can tell ya that FFXI is the only game I play in there. In fact, I bought the Xbox so I could play in a console after Playstation lost support in NA and we weren't able to buy Adoulin expansion.

I really do hope SE does notice and try to fix it.

If you have access to the PC or PS2 clients, try to log in on those, and then moving your character to a different area, and then logging in on xbox.

If this fixes the problem, then you almost certainly have some corrupt files or something, and you should do a file check in the POL viewer.

I did that before posting, Alhanelem, just in case I was in a area whose file were corrupted. But it gave me the same result.
